Is that a question or are you saying it will be released today?

FYI, Akron is no longer playing KY, so that gets them down to four OOC games and eliminates the 9/13 issue that had Ball State playin at Akron, but Akron at KY.
Just got done reading the sports section in todays paper. Akron is out for UK, and Temple is as well. That opens UK for 9/13, and 9/20, and still needing one more OOC game. The MAC is supposed to be working with UK to find a replacement for Temple, and again Miami was mentioned but no agreement has been reached. UK is pretty good about scheduling a MAC team every year, however I can't see them wanting to schedule more MAC teams in the future if this stuff keeps happening.
I also read a story saying Kentucky replaced Akron with Middle Tennessee. Story also mentioned they still needed one more OOC game, can't remember the date though (it was either the 13th or 20th)

Kentucky is playing WKU on 9/27. Not sure if that's another one to fill the MAC void.

Yep, that fills out UKs schedule. No MAC teams visiting UK this year, bummer for me. Is WKU a full Bowl subdivision team this year?

I don't think so, I believe them become a full member in 09

How might this affect Akron's first game at their new stadium in 2009? KY was supposed to be the opponent, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. Any idea?
Article in the paper today about the UK's scheduling problems with the MAC. Over the past 2 seasons, the MAC has pulled out and redone the schedule for 3 games with UK, all coming late in the process. Last year the MAC had UK drop a game AT Temple (though they replaced it with Kent). This year the MAC dropped both games with UK, and we've added sun belt teams (MTSU, WKU). I would bet UK is more likely to not play at Akron to open their Stadium. UK AD said that all scheduling with the MAC is on hold, I'm guessing he isn't very happy that he has to deal with this crap from the MAC office, instead of just dealing with school ADs.

That sucks. The MAC definitely needs to get its Sh*t straight when it comes to scheduling. KY would be an awesome home game for any MAC school, IMO>

I was at the 1985 BG-UK game in Lexington where Brian McClure threw a late 4th quarter TD pass for a BG upset. Great day!

It is also a great away game. IMO there is no better place than Keeneland. Keeneland on Friday or Sunday, BG-UK in between would be awesome. :-)

If were a bcs school and was reading about this crap with the M.A.C. I wouldn't have any respect for them either. Schools should schedule their own games and if they screw up they shouldn't be able to go to the conference office crying for help. UK probably never wants to play a M.A.C. team again and they will probably tell the same to the rest of their conference.
Yeah right girl!

PD "Schedules"

Post by Class of 61 »

FWIW, and I don't have my copy of today's paper handy to "recheck" actual games/dates...but Kent's, Akron's and OU"S schedules were printed in today's PD... I know we have to play AT OU and AT Akron (which we all pretty much knew)...with KSU here....
My only question....Why did the PD put in OU's schedule, w/o doing BG,Miami, or TU's.... Akron + Kent make sense...Also, if THESE schedules are in place, where is ours?

Thanks PGY, I'd discovered this AFTER I'd posted the above...but it still makes me wonder WHY the PD is doing OU's w/o mentioning the other Ohio MAC schools...Perhaps they're in today's paper, which I haven't seen yet.
