Miller was asked a question in the post-game conference about how to keep his team from getting over-confident going into the semis and finals. He responded by ranting for about 90 seconds about how we are the underdog from here on out, and Ohio was the preseason favorite for a reason and has the deepest backcourt and is really tough to beat. He then went on even further about how good Miami is, and how they have the best seniors in the league, and how Laura Markwood just "put on a show" today, and how Amanda Jackson is just incredibly dangerous.
Yeah, Curt is the master of coaches in getting his players to not get overly confident and to believe in being underdogs. Mark Ehlan is probably laughing himself silly right now after hearing Miller's remarks.

Haha... One of these days you're going to learn to stop saying crazy things are impossible in the MAC.
Not trying to be a jerk and I'm not saying I think it's going to happen, but I recall your prediction that we'd double-up on Miami and that it was impossible for us to go to NIU in football this year.
I'm sure there were a ton of people at BSU saying it would be crazy to think UT could beat them... and THEY beat US.
I'm of the opinion that no matter what sport or what time of year on or off the field/court/floor, nothing is ever impossible in the MAC. Ever.

Yikes! What an upset! And the meek will inherit... the MWC, I guess!

I'll tell you what....UT wants to send Cueball out on a great note and they just might beat Miami tomorrow.
Over in the Mountain West, 0-16 Colorado State just beat 16-0 Utah in the conference tournament.
Considering Miller coached at CSU before he came to BG, I'll bet he'll inform the team of this if he senses overconfidence seeping in.
Evidently Utah figured they were already in the dance and didn't really care about the conference tournament.
Back on point, if Toledo goes through Ball State, Miami, and Bowling Green (the 3 best teams in the MAC) to win the tourney, they will have earned it. IMO, the odds of that happening are pretty much nil, coach going out or not. We'll see on Friday when they face Miami. I bet they get clobbered and Amanda Jackson goes off for about 25, but we'll see.

I don't care who you are or what position you're in. You never ever want to lose a game like that, and I sincerely doubt a team with that sort of resume would have looked past it just because "eh... we're getting a decent at-large anyway."
