Liberal studies means you are capable of doing anything, but qualified to do nothing. Doing it over again, I would have opted for a mathematics major. But, because of circumstances, I would have been in school 2.5 additional years at the point of decision.
So, with a Liberal Arts degree, I was able to rise within the company just so far. To smash my glass ceiling, I had to pursue a degree with slightly higher firepower. I would not have needed an MBA as much with a math major.
Those coupon books were awesome.

Thanks for your letter. I think at this point that it is a good thing that I missed that issue of the BG NEWS and reading that column.Peregrinner wrote:My letter

I can't write what I would really like to say so I will just experss my feelings about the author thusly.
And, I met FF1 in Creative Writing Class 113. And I took him Offenhauer Towers restaurant with my meal coupons for a big "date". There, I feel much better now.
A reason no one should complain about donations for athletic
I just found an article today that deals with my reply to that first opinion article. I guess I can say that I have actual proof to what I said now...haha
Here's the article I found...
http://www.livescience.com/health/08032 ... dness.html
This was my reply...
With new facilities comes better recruiting and higher quality athletes. With that comes better teams and with that, I'm sure you guessed it, brings more attention to the University. In the end, any marketing or advertising minded individual will tell you that having your name presented more often, in a higher light, will bring new clients to your business. BGSU is the business...students are the prospective clients.

These people should never be allowed to step foot in the Stroh Center.
The OSU reference...gotta be Tekeini or whatever the hell his name is.
Sorry, not me...i graduated in 2005 with an MIS degree and I completely understand how the funding for the arena works. Good for BG they need it very badly.
Not me though. I didn't even know about the Stroh Center until I saw a picture of it in someones avatar today 4-4-08 and wondered what it was. I knew it was NOT AA in the avatar. I dont check the basketball forum. Only reason I am here was to check out any posts about the Stroh center to see if there were more photos.
IS there any more renderings of the arena available other than the one in Dayon's Den's avatar? It looks like a very nice arena.
I may have to go up for a game to check the place out when it is open.
Looks like the students will be close to the floor still...not as close as AA allowed but still close and intimate kind of like old St John's at OSU. It is definately not as corporate as the Schot.
Nice upgrade I must admit.

I know the idea was discussed, but most of the conversation that I saw/read/heard about was that they would not be using it for hockey.tekekini wrote:will Hockey be played there as well or are they staying where they are at?

Hockey will be staying in the Ice Arena. The IA is in the process of raising funds to renovate the old Barn.
