This guy had a nice game in the D1 finals, very active inside player.

I hope we sign him soon because my guess is he is going to blowup next year. They are losing there top player but their very good PG is coming back.

I have been thinking and I really think that this kid would be a perfect member to close out our 2009 class. We get 2 guards and a legitimate center. Defensively he is already fine, but he will get more comfortable in his body and only get better there. Offensively he needs work but nest year that should develop some with Avery graduating and Kopp filling the scoring hole. He will also won't be asked to score much as a freshman. If we ended up nabbing Avery away from Western Carolina and then adding Kopp next year, I think we would be in business.Globetrotter wrote:I hope we sign him soon because my guess is he is going to blowup next year. Every one here would love Avery. He is all go all the time, very long defensively and great on the offensive end. I believe he has blown up as a senior and that is why he has not been highly recruited.
FWIW I saw coach Orr at the game Friday night. Not sure if he was there to see Kopp or Avery or just to watch but I am almost certain it was him.

At the beginning of the season in the Newark preview it said that one of the team's on Avery's list of potential schools was BG. Not sure what has transpired since but I did see where Western is the front runner. I don't know him well but we're from the same town. He's a good kid and it would be nice to have him.
