I'm probably pulling for Michigan to win the CCHA Tourney. Even though they're a rival of ours in the CCHA I always enjoy it when they come here to play us, win or lose. No other team in the CCHA can lay claim to developing the types of players that they do(i.e. NHLers). I can't stand Miami U and would like for nothing less than them to be blown out in their first game of the NCAA Tourney, since they'll get a bid regardless. My hatred for Notre Dame goes back to elementary school so there is no way I'd pull for them in any sport. I can't stand most of the Hockey East schools and the only WCHA school I would really pull for would be Denver so I go with Michigan sort of by default.

24 you're not entirely wrong in saying Canada was behind the Sens, in western Canada and in Ottawa people cheered for the Sens. I ask you to find me more than 15% of Toronto and Montréal who cheered for the Sens.
Dave Ellett is a hero. A Bowling Green Falcon and a Former Jet and Maple Leaf. What more can a Winnipegger ask for.

Well, you're DEFINITELY in the minority on this one. All I ever heard about in last year's coverage of the Stanley Cup Finals was badly Canada wanted Ottawa to beat Anaheim. Maybe it was just a made up media creation, but it sure seemed like no matter if you were from Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver, or Montreal, you were rooting for Ottawa to win. It's been like this the last 3 years, first with Edmonton v Carolina, then Calgary v Tampa Bay, then Ottawa v Anaheim. These series have been more like Canada v United States. You can't tell me that Canadian fans would root for a team from California over one of their own Canadian franchises, even in a direct rivalry situation.

And if I'm wrong about this, then I blame the media, because this was all over the sports talk stations/media for 3 years straight now. Canada's getting really pissed that they keep losing to the southern US teams.
I'm with Canada, I wish there weren't so many southern NHL teams... and oh how they get gifts to win NHL championships to spread the fan base... Carolina, Tampa Bay and Anaheim winning the Cup, you kidding me?
