MAC in the NCAA, NIT & CBI
Yeah, it's tough for us right now going up against those teams. But before our slide about five years ago, and the turnaround of teams like Kent State (the last decade) and Akron (about the time we started our slide), teams were saying the same thing about BG. At the MAC Tournament this year, I was sitting there at the MAC Championship between Kent State and Akron and thinking back to the recent past, and I was telling my friend that when I was in school, both of those two teams (Kent State and Akron) were bottom dwellers in the MAC. Times have certainly changed. Miami and Ohio have always been solid in hoops with the exception of years here and there. Kent State’s owned the crown in the last decade, but in MAC basketball history, Miami and Ohio are two of the best IMO.cowboyjoe wrote:Yeah. Aren't we glad we get Miami, Akron, Kent, and OU twice a year? Sheesh!!

The CBI is the College Basketball Invitational. It's stupid...what is it, 16 teams or something like that? I like the idea of having a "Post Season Exhibition" with another conference. I think that would be interesting and would give our team some extra playing time to work some kinks out. Someone get Mr. Chryst on the phone.

Bradley came back from 13 down at halftime to beat Ohio 79-73 in the CBI. That bounced the last MAC team from postseason play. The MAC went 2-4 in postseason play combined in the three tournament.
