NCAA Tournament field of 16
NCAA Tournament field of 16
This year 4 CCHA teams, 6 WCHA teams, 1 CHA team, 1 Atlantic Hockey team, 2 Hockey East teams, and 2 ECAC teams got in.

Another thing that I'm pumped about is the fact that, from what it looked like, every single regional semifinal game will be on ESPNU. Here is the schedule of broadcasts for the tournament:

Yeah Wisky getting in with a below .500 record is a joke. And they get a 3 seed and get to play in Madison. Unbelievable. I hope they get bounced in the first round.

jpf9 I am with you, Michigan is hitting on all cylinders right now, playing really tough hockey. Especially coming off conf. tourney win. I am looking at a bracket w/ 3 out of 4 teams from the CCHA (w/ Miami and State) in the Frozen 4.
Pretty exciting time of year to say the least
Ohh, and Go Falcons!

I'll take Michigan, New Hampshire, Denver and Boston College in the Frozen Four. I don't think that Miami U will be able to top Boston College, at least I hope not. BC knocked them out in the last two NCAA tournaments with rather ease(4-0 and 5-0) so hopefully they can pull it off again. I think that Michigan is going to continue their hot streak and will come out of the East region rather easily. I admittedly don't know a whole lot about Hockey East but UNH looks like they won the league rather easily so I'll go with them in the West region. I've always liked Denver, plus they won the WCHA Tourney, so I'm hoping they can take the Midwest region.

NH won't be anywhere near the Frozen Four.

Going by that logic, doesn't that mean that MSU is a lock?PegCityFalcon wrote:the champion will be the team with the best goalie so UNH and UND have the best. Michigan, although a mediocre goaltender, have the most talented offence.

I agree that Wisconsin shouldn't be allowed to play a home game in Madison with their record. However, the field is almost always exactly what the pairwise rankings say it should be. In addition, Wisconsin lost a game this year in which the ref screwed up the replay on a goal. The commitee may have taken that into account.
Bottom line, if you want to make the tournament as an at large, you have to win games and play a tough schedule. Wisconsin won enough games.
My four picks are:
St. Cloud over Michigan
BC over Miami
North Dakota over Denver
New Hampshire over CC

MACMAN
frozen four
1. MI
2. ND
3. North Dakota
4. Miami
I have a feeling the Redskins will take it all, they have been down but have turned the corner and will battle through to the end. i feel the same about the Irish..they have been doing poorly but are back on track, and unlike lastyear i think they have fixed the problem in time to make the run.
CCHA is to
solid this year.
