Banquet

Post by BGSUE »

The celebration banquet for the team Wed. April 2 @ 6:30. Reservations are being accepted through the basketball office. cut-off date is March 26.
it's another chance to honor Kate & Whit, their teammates, coaches & staff. 8)
I have a table for 10 @ $270 or $30 per person or $50 per couple. Sponsor a player for $30. This event is really special. Kate & Whit will give their senior talk & then Golds will tell tales on them & give us her ideas for next season. It's also bittersweet as another group leaves to spread Falcon wings doing something other than basketball. Call Sheri @ 419-372-2255. Let's fill Bowen-Thompson Grand Ballroom so they must pass plate across tables. Who's with me?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow. The banquet is real early this year. I remember last year's being real close to my birthday like around the 22nd of April. Is a regular seat $25 like last year's? I'd like to make it 2 in a row.

Didn't it used to be on a Sunday afternoon? Sure makes it hard for those who have to work & perhaps travel a bit to get there on a weekday night.

Yeah, a Sat. or Sun. would be a lot easier for a lot of us to make it. Last year's though seemed like it was on a Mon. but maybe it was Sun.

Shouldn't they be putting news of this on the bgsufalcons.com website? For such a short notice for the banquet they better get news out on the site for the masses who aren't Falcon Club members.

I won't be able to make it but will sponsor a player. What a great ride this team gave us this season...and a very bright future tomorrow.

I received the info on the banquet directly from the Women's Basketball office. It was dated March 10. Since I hadn't seen any info on it I posted to allow others not contacted to participate. I'm on the list of supports as are many other people who contribute in many ways to the team. It's banquet season with Men's bball March 30, WBB April 2, Hockey April 6 & Women's Volleyball April 13. Olscamp & the ballroom get booked fast. the previous list is just the banquets I know are occurring. There could be others Dining Services sets the date with the coaching staffs, I think. Plus Wednesday was a game night. Do you what you can. Thanks Mike for sponsoring a player. They will feed individuals when you arrive. I had friends come after serving had begun last year. The banquet was a Saturday last year. :D

Right now I'm certainly tempted to go again this year. The only things holding me back at the moment are the day(a Wed.) plus the fact I won't get home till probably after 10pm during a workweek and I hate how I feel at 4am in the morning when I don't get at least 7 hrs of sleep, and the price increase although its not that much. Good thing to know I got to Fri. to make up my mind.
