Do you know what is the most exciting news to me about this article? Simply the idea of actually returning EVERYONE from last year's team. With all the departures we have gone through in recent years, just being able to retain our players would be a success story entering next season IMO. If we are able to reverse the trend of turnover and start retaining, we’ll finally start being able to reload instead of always having to rebuild and with that will come the success and results we’ve been desperately wanting.

I don't see much in the article saying that everybody will definitely be returning next year...just that it's expected; likely based mostly on the fact that their are no seniors. Time will tell if there are any transfers.
If everyone sticks around, great, but I wouldn't rule out transfers in the first offseason following a coaching change. Personally there are a couple players on this team that I'd just as soon see transfer, but at this point it would be tough to get worthwhile recruits in here for the '08-09 season.

Hence, the reason I said "idea" of actually retuning everyone. We all know way too well what can happen during an offseason. It’s just been ridiculous seeing the revolving door spinning every year with players leaving with eligibility remaining. For once, I just want to see us return everyone again to break this disturbing trend that has crippled our program in recent years.hammb wrote:I don't see much in the article saying that everybody will definitely be returning next year...just that it's expected; likely based mostly on the fact that their are no seniors. It is awesome that there is the potential of having every single player back and finally bring some continuity to the program that has been missing for quite some time. I think the players are responding in an awesome way to Coach Orr which is something else that has been absent. The future is bright for Bowling Green Hoops...and football, and womens hoops and hockey...I'm loving it.
