Who would you like to see on the schedule next year?
A take off from Falcon137's question over on the men's hoops board, who would you like to see the women play next season OOC home and away. I know I would love a game at either Cincy or Xavier, and another game with Kentucky

I'm still waitin' on a rematch with the OSU Lady Buckeyes, but those teams are good ones too. One thing I would like us to do in the scheduling if at all possible is when we get a big name to come in to AA we need to try and get that game on a Sat afternoon and not during break.

Yeah, my lofty goals of moving on from the "great" city of Lexington haven't come to fruition yet. I'd love to see UK on the schedule, EKU and Morehead are acceptable substitutes though.
A trip to Vandy would be pretty cool, but after beating them in NCAA last year they might not be so interested.

To AA 8)
MSU, Tennessee, Rutgers, UCONN if going out to get recognition let's go big how 'bout Duke? 8)
Please less travel to places with ice & snow in the winter---not going to IU was a disappointment. Coaches have control over lots of stuff just not Mother Nature. The ride to MSU , home from Cornell & some of the away MAC games was a bit snow covered & icy even for the team bus.

Ohhhhhh... the roads to IU weren't THAT bad..hockeysue wrote:Please less travel to places with ice & snow in the winter---not going to IU was a disappointment.

I agree. A home and home would be outstanding.factman wrote:Michigan State at Anderson Arena!
I think Curt Miller has scheduled well. My favorite opponents have been programs like Indiana and Notre Dame -- good measuring sticks in our region, to see where we are.
When this team peaks, it ought to be able to play with anyone in our part of the country, and we should schedule a couple games to test that out.
Also, when the team peaks, a game with a program just outside the top 5 might be interesting, as another test.
Another opponent that comes to mind is Louisiana Tech. Would anyone else find that interesting?
In the interest of bolstering our already great fan support;
The students still don't turn out well, in my mind they still somehow havn't realized how good the girls are. People still believe the big time schools are osu, msu, mich, and basically every other big ten school. Bring the big ten girls into AA, use them as a whipping post for a season and show the entire region who the real power is. If nothing else it will prove to our students that the big ten isn't a bunch of all powerful titans like they believe they are. Or maybe they are all powerful titans, and we're even bigger and badder

I'd like to see us play La Tech...and maybe Old Dominion. Those two used to own Women's college hoops years ago. I'd like to play George Washington or MTSU as well. If bringing in big name opponents, please schedule those games for SATURDAY, not Tuesday or Wednesday.Schadenfreude wrote:I agree. Coach Miller has done a great job scheduling. Getting another Big Ten team in house would be cool.

I gotta go the same route as with the men here...we should be playing CSU every single year, alternating home dates. They are becoming a successful team, as they went to the NCAA tourney this year. If we ever got an ACC or SEC team to come here, I think it would probably have to be at the Q for them to accept it...especially for the likes of Dookie and Tennessee.

Then they really wouldn't be "coming here", would they?VDub26Falcon wrote:If we ever got an ACC or SEC team to come here, I think it would probably have to be at the Q for them to accept it...especially for the likes of Dookie and Tennessee.
I think using Cleveland as a venue for WBB is a world different than what we've done/are doing for football. (And even at that, while the experience was cool, if we're only going to get 30K for that, we might as well use The Doyt.)

Took the words right out of my mouth. ODU would be a great matchup. I like the idea of MTSU as well and some A-10 teams like GW. If we can't get that many B11 teams in here, let's shoot for the perennial powers from "lesser" conferences. I'd like to see us continue the series with Delaware.Falconfreak90 wrote:I'd like to see us play La Tech...and maybe Old Dominion. Those two used to own Women's college hoops years ago. On a more selfish note, @ Duquesne, @ Robert Morris, and @ Pitt sound like some good road games to mix in.
Roll Along!
