Considering how we did last year with a young squad, I'm going to have to disagree with you there.
I haven't looked too much into the outlook of these teams, but simply based on last season and what I've seen of our O-line recruits this year, I see us winning at least 6 MAC games (Miami is always tough and we could stumble against another) and at least 1 - 3 in our OOC games, but probably not Boise because almost nobody wins at Boise.

Until you pull your head out of your buckeye nut, I'm not sure too many people are going to agree with you on that one.tekekini wrote:Sorry, just being honest but I see BG going 3-9. I see your wins as being against EMU, NIU and UT.
I don't think you beat Wyoming, PITT, Boise or Minnesota.

The great things about an opinion is that you don't have to agree and if I am right I can tell you that I told you so.
That is just my honest opinion based on who your coach is and where the other teams are at. That's all.
I can not help it if you don't like my opinion. 8)
Yes, I am dumb because I have an opinion that you disagree with.MarkL wrote:Agree with him? Tek, if you're sole purpose of coming out of your "Other Schools" forum cage is to attempt to rile up the rest of us and start sh!t, then just leave. Your rants are pointless, dumb and usually incoherent. 3-9 after an 8-5 season? I don't think so. I didn't realize you were a MAC football guru to know where "the other teams are at." So, try and save yourself. Tell me all about why we will only beat EMU, NIU and slUT and will stand no chance against any other team. If you can't do that, which is what I expect, then just wander into oblivion...we won't miss you.

It was not my purpose. I can't help it if you can not handle a differing opinion.
Sour grapes.
Why just those three? They are the weakest teams on your schedule, simple. The other teams on the schedule are just as good or better than BG. If they get in a close game, do you really have confidence in Brandon being able to pull off a win with the weak defense that BG has? I know that I wouldn't. He hasn't proven that he can yet.
What I say isn't what is going to happen, just what I think will happen so relax. It is like you are taking my words as scripture and BG will definately only win three games. They could just as easily win 8 of those games. I do not believe in Brandon as a coach with the ability to coach a team with a bad defense and a slightly above average offense for the MAC.
Why do you take it so personal and get so angry? Is it because you fear that my opinion may be what actually happens?

Exactly, not at all out of the question. Especially with OSU's depth and experience this year.
Anyways you ave your opinion and I have mine. I have respectfuly given my opinion and stayed on the topic that the thread had laid out. I still don't get why everyone is taking it so personally. I am just one man with one opinion. I wasn't trying to rile everyone up just contributing to the discussion.

Tek, the reason why people may be taking what you said so personally is because of your history with bad-talking BG athletics and always putting OSUcks on top. That backs up why I said what I did earlier.tekekini wrote:Anyways you ave your opinion and I have mine. I have respectfuly given my opinion and stayed on the topic that the thread had laid out. Now as far as what I see BG accomplishing in the fall, with my orange and brown 'specs on, I see us going undefeated. But without those 'specs on and looking at it from the real world. I'd like to say that if we do well in the first four games that we'd just roll the rest of the MAC, but after several years of experiencing things like that, I just don't see it happening. It's just too hard to tell because the MAC teams just aren't consistent enough yet to tell how well we'll do year in and year out. I honestly see us possibly going 8-4 with wins at Pittsburgh and Wyoming not out of the question and a definate win at home against Minnesota. I would like to see us beat UT at their place for once too. But as far as the rest of the schedule, well...we'll see when we get there. Hopefully Brandon and the rest of the guys don't overlook anyone this year, but I'm sure that will happen at least once.

Hopefully that overlook week(s) will come against EMU or Buffalo, we'll win the game regardless. We pretty much took EMU for granted last year and got away with it. I'd throw NIU in that category too, but after what happened there in February, that team will on a mission this fall.Strouse wrote:Hopefully Brandon and the rest of the guys don't overlook anyone this year, but I'm sure that will happen at least once.tekekini wrote:Anyways you ave your opinion and I have mine. I'm not taking it personally. I have no problem with your prediction. It's just a pretty bold prediction. Would you put money down in Vegas on BG going 3-9? I'd say OSU has a better chance of winning a national championship than BG has of going 3-9. But, neither is going to happen, so the point is probably moot.tekekini wrote:San Fran Falcon wrote:

You want to say that about a team who has proven time and time again that they can get in the title game (three times in six years, one title, back to back appearances), has more returning starters than anyone else in the country, and will be loaded in all positions (depth)? There is an 85% chance OSU gets in the title game again. Beat USC, run through the big ten, play Florida for the title.San Fran Falcon wrote:I'm not taking it personally. Would you put money down in Vegas on BG going 8-4? Putting money down on what a teams record will be is a stupid bet. I would throw down on BG being below .500 though (3-9, 4-8, or 5-7).
