Quoted to answer Warhog's question on the tee times.hammb wrote:Alright guys. Tee times are set. The rate will be $25 with a cart. We've got 5 consecutive tee times 3:00, 3:07, 3:15, 3:22, and 3:30. We should be able to get everybody through 18 by dark this way, and it should be a good time.
I don't know if there's anybody in the group that has not played Riverby but it's a nice course. It is not maintained to the same level as Stone Ridge or other fancy courses, but the layout is very fun. The back 9 has as many elevation changes as you'll find in Northwest Ohio. All we need now is some sunny warm weather and we should be all set for a great day of Falcon football and golf.
We'll want to get a definite count, as soon as possible, just to make sure we're not going to go over 20. If it looks like we need more, we should be able to add another tee time or two onto this if we give them some notice.
With the game starting at noon and the tee times starting at 3:00 I think we'll have plenty of time to watch most of the game. They usually do a running clock for the 2nd half and it doesn't take very long to finish it up.
My guess would be people would just head out there on their own. They do have a driving range, so I'd imagine some people might want to head out there early to warm up or something. If people need directions or want to follow somebody I will be heading there directly from the game; they can follow me.
Keep in mind that 64 is closed just North of Haskins. We will have to take some back roads to get around to the course. Might want to make sure everyone realizes that so they don't get lost.hammb wrote:If people need directions or want to follow somebody I will be heading there directly from the game; they can follow me.

Good point. Can you still go through Haskins and get on King Rd.? I haven't been into Haskins in awhile, but seems like King would be the best way around the 64 closure if you can still get to it.Warthog wrote:Keep in mind that 64 is closed just North of Haskins. If you don't know I have friends that live in Haskins, I call them to make sure.
I'm am feeling pretty good today......Must be the Midol
I have been pretty diligent in taking the meds and I really don't want to disappoint Nicholas.
FWIW - Nicholas and I are bogey/double bogey players. My goal of course whenever I get on the course is to determine what group of fellow players I want to drive into
I have yet to talk to Nicholas today - he bolted for school before we had a chance to more than just grunt at each other as we slept through breakfast and the morning paper together
The Forecast sounds better as tomorrow gets here. Watch it be 70 and Sunny..... until BO gets to the sixth tee box

That's the place we're golfing at, right? If so, it takes like 15 minutes to get there, and you can get there by getting off 64 left onto Middleton Pike, then hang a right onto Forst Rd and continue north until you get to 65. Small detour, but very direct.[/url]

That's the place, and your route makes more sense than mine, because you avoid Haskins entirely.footballguy51 wrote:http://www.riverbyhills.com/

Whenever I went to Riverby I always took Haskins to Kellogg Rd., shot over to Tontogany and took Tontogany Creek Rd. (right past Otsego HS) up to 65. I found it to be the quickest way there, and the drive on Tontogany Creek Rd. is about as scenic one as you'll find in NW Ohio.

If we come up I fully intend on getting lost.Bleeding Orange wrote:Whenever I went to Riverby I always took Haskins to Kellogg Rd., shot over to Tontogany and took Tontogany Creek Rd. Actually, it is the culvert at King Rd that is out. I don't know where exactly the issue is, but my impression was that you can't go around it if you actually head into Haskins. Have to detour before you get there.hammb wrote:Good point. Can you still go through Haskins and get on King Rd.? Yeah, I'll probably just take 582 to Frost. BO's Tontogany Creek route should be fine as well.Warthog wrote:Actually, it is the culvert at King Rd that is out. Anybody making the journey on their own: Just realize you cannot go through Haskins, 64 is closed

Shoot, just realized my previous post is blank. Don't know how that happened.
Any way, Forst Road is closed also! So you can't get to Riverby from Bowling Green.
Seriously, BO's route using Tontogany Creek Road might be best.

I tried going home using Tontogany Creek and it's closed at the railroad in Tontogany. What's the deal with them closing all of the roads?
By the way, it was nice golfing with all of you. Got to meet the majority of you and was able to put faces to AZZ names. It was fun (when I actually hit the ball), and we should do something like this again in the future.
