What if we call the Sebos and tell them we don't need the SAC yet, but want to use their donation to rent buses to drive around and pick us all up at home and head to Mobile? :D

Freak -- How about me, you, Michelle, Mrs. Freak, Denny, and Bob Dupont making that trek down! I will be watching for deals on this one. I am certain that Michelle and I can get the couple days off work to pull this off. I'll have to see what we can do about the $$$! We can find a way! Maybe the Falcon Club can set up a bus trip or something.

Ed, I'd consider it if Joyce is coming along.... This is a time when I wish I had my old conversion van instead of the Intrepid... Not good mileage, but a heck of lot more room and 7 could travel in comfort. In meantime, I'm checking out airfares...Should know Joyce's status by tomorrow AM...then I can plan accordingly... Best airfares by far are to New Orleans, approx. a 2 hr. drive to Mobile from what I've been able to gather.

According to MSN, 14 hours, 30 minutes (903 miles) from BG to Mobile. :( But it basically is all Interstate so you could possible exceed to speed limit by about 10 mph and get there in about 12 hours.

That would be great except one thing....the Freaklings. They would have to go. Plus, I think Dana has to be at work on the 22nd for some big holiday party. It could be myself and the Freaklings.

We'll see what unfolds but I would say there is only about a 25% chance of us going. Just the way it is, i guess.

Bob,

That Lakeland deal sounds good. What are the details on that? Where does that take off from. If Michelle and I drive up to Cleveland to take off on that bus, where can we park? Got room in your driveway? Also, when does it leave and return? Let me know. Sure would be nice to have someone else do the driving. I'll try to get on here tomorrow if you can post something. Thanks for looking into this.

Falcon Club Bus Trip

Post by BGSU99 »

Bob,

Thanks for the notes. Michelle and I are looking into the bus that is taking off from BGSU. It's $175 per person, but maybe if enough people are interested, that price will come down a little. We'll see. Keep me posted. If that doesn't work, maybe a few of us could ride together.

According to what the Falcon Club is trying to put together, it is more like $400! About $200 for the bus ride and $200 for two nights in a hotel. That is way too steep a price to pay to have to ride a bus for 15 hours.

ONE WAY! I can drive for 30 hours, but I'll be darned if I'm paying a couple hundred bucks for the privilege.
