Great article about Korey from his hometown newspaper. Apparently he received a text message from his agent 7 minutes before the Broncos called, and he didn't hear it beep.

YEAH KORY!!! I can't tell ya how happy I am for him...he's worked his tail off and deserves this chance. I agree Denver is a great place for him. I watched the draft only to see his name keep popping up. Denver plays in Cleveland this year...
Way to go, brother. Best of luck to ya and knock the snot out of 'em!
BTW, Kory has earned his degree in criminal justice as well. He comes from a GREAT family...they just have so much class and integrity. Good, honest hard working people. No wonder Kory is a BiG success.

Remember also that while Dan Snyder does like to make a lot of personel decisions, the 'Skins have a new coach and new GM. We also know that kickers have short leashes in the NFL. Unless you are an established veteran in this league, if you miss a short FG in a playoff game, you know it is likely you are out or at the very least going to have a lot of competition come training camp. I have been a 'Skins fan my whole life and I love having Shawn on the team, so I would hate to see him go, but the fan in me last January said, they have to bring someone else in. That was my initial pissed off reaction to his miss. I hope he can bounce back with the 'Skins or with another team. I think he deserves another shot, but Joe Gibbs is the one who brought him to DC so if the new regime wants to look a different direction, no one should be surprised.tiznow wrote:I agree. Daniel Snyder is a dbag. He missed a chip shot in the playoffs. Snyder is probably holding that against him. Shawn has shown he is an NFL kicker. If the Skins don't see it, someone else will.footballguy51 wrote:Congrats to Kory, but do I actually have to root for Denver??? Go Kory, I hope you play really well and the Broncos lose every time they play the Browns.
As far as Washington goes...doesn't anybody trust Suisham? I mean, the guy has kicked for a bunch of teams and has been pretty solid. You would think teams would be willing to stick with somebody like that. Of course, most teams usually bring in an undrafted free agent to compete against the real kicker, but to draft somebody so high (yes, round 6 is high for kickers sometimes) when you already have a starter is kinda crappy to both kickers.

That kind of talk is truly insulting. The Lima News has been around for nearly a hundred years providing news to area residents daily throughout that time. And it has not been done in crayon since the mid-60s when they made the move to fountain pen.Flipper wrote:2). Lima has a newspaper

Congrats to Kory and to Lima....
The Findlay Courier is still printed in crayon. And they don't even use Crayola, the cheap bastards. The keep and use the free ones when they order off the kid's menu Friendly's.h2oville rocket wrote:That kind of talk is truly insulting.
