Hey Memphis fans...
Thank you for bringing some class and real useful information to this site. You are what it's all about!! We don't get much of that from opponents, most of them just want to come talk smack. You all (y'all) are fine representatives of your school! It's a pleasure having you here!

Glad to be here BG fans! The Tiger fans are really jacked up about this matchup, and as soon as we received the Mobile invitation Bowling Green was the team we thought would make for the best game. So congratulations for your second straight bowl game!!!
Our team is sort of a dobbleganger of yours, except our explosiveness starts with the ground game and works out, while your team apparently starts with a ridiculous passing attack (36 TD's to only 3 INT's for Jacobs? Holy smokes!). Our respective "defenses", ahem, should both be in for long nights.
As for DeAngelo Williams, good luck with THAT. You'll read plenty about this kid, but let me tell ya - his press clippings don't do him justice. That man has about three gears - fast, faster, and fastest, and quite simply is the best player to ever put on the Tiger jersey.
Bowling Green v. Memphis - awesome baby!!!

We're fired up about going to back-to-back bowls for the first time in our history! And we're fired up we get to play a quality opponent like BGSU!
Just to give you a bit of perspective life as a Tiger fan...
We're smack dab in the middle of SEC country with Arkansas to the west, Vandy and Tennessee to the east, Ole Miss and Mississippi State to the south and Alabama to the southeast. Heck, Ole Miss is 1 county out of the Memphis MSA. They probably should be in the metrolpolitan area because they get Memphis TV.
Typically, Memphis has been a Tiger Basketball and SEC football hodge-podge town. It's not uncommon for people to be a Tiger Basketball fan and a ________ football fan (fill in the blank with SEC school). But Tommy West has turned Tiger football into a source of pride for the community. He's done an incredible job here.
Matter of fact, Coach West says that when he was considering the Tiger job friends and coaching peers from all over called him and told him there was no way anyone could ever win at Memphis. He says that's what made him take the job -- to prove that you can win at Memphis.
What's especially nice about going to this bowl is that we're the only team in the Mid-South who made a bowl. Ole Miss didn't. Mississippi State didn't. Arkansas didn't.
Overall, Tiger athletics has really come alive the past couple of years. Last year and this year we lead C-USA in overall winning percentage of all sports combined. So far this year we top the list with a 0.742 percentage. Louisville is close behind at 0.718. There's a big gap between 2 and 3. TCU is 3rd at 0.590.
Anyway, enough about us. We're fired up to get it on with the Falcons in Mobile!
Best of luck to y'all and your team!

We've have a couple of those. I'm sure as the game gets closer and nerves start to fray, they'll be here making the rest of us look bad.Mr. Frieda wrote:Here's hoping that they dont have that "one" fan who gets on here and starts the crap, even though we're all being civil.
Anyway, what a matchup this will be! Wish I could be there to see my Tigers take on the Falcons. I'll just have to settle for ESPN.

Yes I remember that guy who was confused. That was one of the funniest threads I'd ever readDerby wrote:We've have a couple of those. I bet you guys get that a lot. We set him straight right away...!!! So much for the geographically challenged.
