So, BG cancelled the Tu-BG football game. Ok, got that. Now was this before or after we stole your future hall of fame basketball coach?

Once again - WRONG!

Quit putting out information that you do not know to be true.

There are numerous students that are denied admission to BGSU-Firelands because they do not meet the admissions criteria.

If you are an Ohio graduate, you will be admitted to any state community/technical college regardless of grades and grade point average.

BTW - If you don't believe me, contact my friend Martino Harmon, Director of Admissions at UT. I'm sure he'll be glad to tell you the same thing.

Cluelessobserver,
Do you always wear out your welcome? Are you always so dumb that you can't take a blatant hint? Since UT is so great, go back there. Go back to your board. It is obvious to all here that your data is flawed. You take something as simple as reporting the winning teams that you beat and then you try to claim Kansas as a winning team. When you played them, you were their 2nd opponent. They had only played one game. Right after they beat you down :P , they went on to lose the next 3 in a row.

Once again, do your homework first. Better yet, don't come back. Go play where you are welcome or are you not welcome at your own UT board?...hmmm. This may explain why you are here so much. :butthead:

The data is flawed because transfer2bg said so? No, it is not flawed. Yes, you can be denied because some idiots can't pass the proficiency exams, even though they graduated from high school.

Like I said, I would not expect you farmers to understand.

Well, think what you want. You're wrong, but I guess you don't want to try and improve yourself and learn something new today. Continue to go through life discounting all that you do not believe. But I think I would have called Martino Harmon at UT before making your last post.

If you do not pass the proficiency exams, you do not graduate from high school. You do get a Certificate of Completion. But no high school diploma.

Guess that means - YOU ARE WRONG! (Again)

Just a point of clarification. If you are a student on an IEP (with a documented disability) and have an exemption on it, a student is allowed to graduate and get a high school diploma without passing some or all of the proficiencies. That is the ONLY situation that I am award of. Sorry, the Special Educator in me had to speak up on this since I deal with it constantly.

Back to our regularly scheduled program......

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

That is correct as long as the IEP states an exemption.

The student you have mentioned would be awarded a high school diploma.

Give me one example where a kid from Ohio, who has a diploma and passed proficiencies, would NOT be granted admissions to BGSU or any of the branch schools! You original point of contention was that UT is inferior because we have open admissions and BGSU does not. Like I said, you are garaunteed admissions to all state schools (at least their branch two-year school) as long as you have a diploma from an Ohio high school. Toledo and Akron chose not to have branch schools so they are required by law to admit tax paying qualified Ohio residents.

Frickin Goat Herders from Wood County. With idiots like this guy working in Admisssions, it is no wonder you guys are a bastard stepchild of an institution.

I just got off the phone with the office of the Ohio Board of Regents. The only schools that have to accept anybody are those without enrollment caps. BGSU among others, including That Ohio State University, have caps.

The University of Little Detroit does not have a cap. It does have to admit everybody that shows up. BGSU does not. BGSU can and does reject people who do not meet our expectations, and that extends to Firelands as well.

Little Detroit had to fold the Scott Park campus because it couldn't afford it, and it was getting eaten alive by the vastly cheaper-and better-Owens CC.

Frick'n morons who are so stupid they don't even know when they are walking into a trap. If people in Little Detroit drove as badly as they...... oh wait, they do.

I hope that you guys do not continue to father children. You have no clue what the hell you are talking about. Board of Regents. Right. I am still waiting for the admissions guy to give me one example of someone from Ohio with an Ohio diploma that was rejected from BGSU or Firelands. Never happens.

Owens is better? Man, you really are a brain surgeon!

And one of the biggest problems UT had with the Scott Park campus was the fact they would not transfer credit from their own Associate degree programs into programs on the main campus.
