In 1979, Orel Hershiser pitched the last complete game no-hitter (7 innings) in BG history at Kent State.

Also, 85 years ago today, Earl Wittmer pitched the second of his three no-hitters for BG (no one else has more than one). He struck out 19 that game!

50 years ago this past Friday, Wade Diefenthaler pitched the last 9 inning CG no-hitter for BG.

I knew about the Hershiser one for the connection with the date and Kent State, but didn't know the others until I looked it up.
