Just a few questions about yesterdays baseball game!

Post by factman »

Could someone tell me why they have the "porta-potty" at the baseball field emptied during the middle of the game yesterday, only to send a stench over the stadium and send a few people running out of their seats?

Why concessions can run out of Diet Coke in the third inning? It doesn't spoil!

Why concessions closes with an hour (end of fifth inning) to go in the game?

Why the batters eye has been broken/bent ALL season?

Why there are two huge bare spots down the right field line (no grass) and they haven't even attempted to fix them all season?

Who is actually responsible for this kind of stuff?

I was wondering the same things about the porta-potty and the concessions.

Fortunately there was enough going on down on the field (and leaving it!) to distract me and keep me from thinking about those questions.

Now that you bring it up though, they're some pretty good questions.

i must of missed the port a potty thing. i didn't get there till the 3rd inning. or 4th? i can't remember. glad i didn't smell that.

i'm not to happy with the new people running concessions nothing great has happened since they stopped having dining services run it. the sign on the concession stand says they close in the 6th inning so they should not have closed when they did, but i did notice they closed early.

Embarrassing how? Winning 15-5 and being in pretty good shape for the tournament seems like a pretty good situation for the coaches, players and fans. I'll gladly take a few cosmetic difficulties in exchange.

In the latest Ask the AD, Greg Christopher addressed the batters eye issue. They're waiting for the season to end to tear it down and replace the whole thing, and he mentions other forthcoming improvements to the baseball facility as well.

No word about concessions or Diet Coke avaliability. Personally, I always used the vending machines in the Ice Arena.

I have resorted to McDonalds on my way to the game and not using our concessions at all!

Isn't the batters eye thing sot of like having shingles blow off your roof in January and waiting til a nice sunny August afternoon to fix it?

Not to get off subject, but I see someone submitted a question showing their ignorance regarding the Stroh Center.
