when really it was... "I really don't want to blame it on the ball, but I couldn't grip the ball," Jacobs said for his passing struggles. "On the first play, I threw the ball right into the ground. All game I was trying to switch balls. But that's no excuse.""I couldn't grip the ball" comment (this from a guy who threw for more than 400 yards) because he's just a young college kid who probably takes his cue from his classless coach.
Brandon's quote was... "I don't think it was really anything that UT did," Bowling Green coach Gregg Brandon said. "I thought our ineptness and Omar (Jacobs) not being real sharp in the third quarter was the difference. It was the first time in a long time that he hasn't been as accurate as he's been."
"We said (at halftime) that we needed to finish," Brandon added.
"We still had 30 minutes of football left and we didn't get it done. We didn't weather the storm and we couldn't get a stop on defense."
I think it's just nice to have the whole quote in there yeah Brandon could have given some credit to UT i would have liked to see that whouldn't have hurt.
