Team just got a call from the asst comish telling them they are CO-CHAMPIONS of the Mid American Conference with Kent!!!!!!! :D :-D :D :-D :D :-D :!:
EMU finished a half game back.

Congratulations to Coach Schmitz and the team................from last to first and picked last in the preseason. I think that makes Coach Schmitz a pretty good candidate for MAC Coach of the Year!!!!!!

With the struggles the men's teams have had the past few years and the hell they've taken for it, this is OUTSTANDING!

Congrats to all, now heat those bats up for the MAC Tourney!!!

Great job Coach Schmitz and the team. The young men stepped it up. Now lets beat Kent and win the tourny! I have a feeling things are only going to get better. Where can I find the exact address for the touny?

WOW, miracles do happen. From last to first with practically the exact same team. Says alot about the players & possibly the overall talent level in the MAC this year. Let's hope the trend continues into the tournament. Go Falcons!

Congrats the Falcon baseball team!! :supz: Finally a Falcon men's sport gets off the snide. A share of a Mac Baseball Chamionship is awesome for men's baseball! Hopefully we'll see a long awaited resurgence from our men's programs. The BG women's teams have been stellar over the years and now its time for the men's teams to rise up as well. :D

The football team did go to the best bowl in the MAC last year and has been first or second in the division something like 6 of the last 7 years, but anyway...

Go baseball!

Not trying to be a dick, FB, but is it really necessary to pull this comment out every single time a comment is made about a men's team having some success?

AWESOME NEWS!!! :D

Mega-superior-huge congrats to Coach Schmitz, and every player and staff member on this team! I thought that this might be somewhat of a rebuilding year going into the season, and the one game I saw this year (day of the Spring game) only reinforced that view. I've never been so happy to be so completely off-base!

Here's to hoping that the team's momentum continues into the tournament and beyond!

Out of so many choices, you pick this time to be happy, eh?
