Guys, I have info from a source very close to the Providence Bruins that Boston is not going to re-sign Jordan. So, Jonathan get's traded to Columbus and Jordan is looking for a new team. Hopefully he'll go somewhere where he's actually wanted. I understand that Boston has alot of money invested in Tukka Rask, but frankly, he pretty much sucked during the play-offs for the P-Bruins while Jordan rode the pine. Good Luck Jordan. We hope you land in a better situation.
I know he's a great goalie, great guy, real inspiration, etc, etc. But I can't see any nhl team taking a chance on him after his collapse this past season. I'm not sure any team at any level would.
I'm not saying it's right (it's not!) but it's true.
Regardless of whether or not anyone signs him for next year it's definitely great that he has a college degree to fall back on. It shows how valuable finishing up school is. Even if you end up playing pro hockey, the chances are still pretty good that you'll need something to fall back on.
I spoke with someone close to Siggy the other day and he is not allowed to be approached by other teams until after July 1st but is currently having talks with Boston to maybe re-sign and is also talking to a few teams in Europe including teams in Germany and Austria.
