In addition, these last two idiots didn't even take enough time to read the entire thread. Typical.
What the heck would this prove anyways, moron? The names of applicants are protected anyways. Under the Sunshine Laws of the State of Ohio, all documents from government agencies are public record, with some exceptions for the sake of individual and public privacy/safety. Under Sunshine Laws, anyone classified as a student is under legal protection from having their names and personal information released under the guise of sunshine requests. And, under the definition of a student passed by our Board of Trustees a month or two ago, applicants are considered to be students.
So, get your head out of your butt and make a real argument.

Hey, dumba$$, I am not asking for an exact name. I figured even an inbreed like you would assume that everyone knows the names are protected. I am asking this admissions guru to sit an example of someone who graduated from an Ohio High School and applied to BGSU that was not at least accepted to the Branch school. The whole point of this is because Toledo and Akron MUST have open admissions for Ohio graduates because we do not have branch schools.
Jesus, I hope you punch a time clock because if you have a real job where you are responsible for anything important, I feel sorry for those people at your company.

No, you just admit as much of it as you can, since more and more people are headed to better places. You don't reward it, but you school is content to hire it-part time-to teach. You don't reward it, you embody it.Casualobserver wrote:...because we do not reward mediocrity..
1996 cohort, six year completion rate at Little Detroit among all undergrad students: 43%, the rate at BGSU? 60%. I guess we just work harder than the other folks.Casualobserver wrote:... The amount of time it takes someone to complete their degree is dependant upon how hard they want to work.
The state average is 55%, the national average 54%.
Talk about your own worthless degree. You need to come to the table with more than you have got sparky. Crawl back to your Flintstones campus and take the Remedial Pre-Consumer Math 450 class again.Casualobserver wrote:...A "D" is crap whether it is on your main campus or not. I guess you have given us a little more insight into why your education is not worth the paper on which it is printed.

Yeah, but its also a Sunshine Law issue, hence our BOT defining a student at their last meeting.transfer2BGSU wrote:Actually it's called FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, 1974). Some people refer to it as the Buckley Amendment.

I thought Akron didn't have a branch campus.Casualobserver wrote:...if you include your Firestone Campus,
Oh yeah, it's actually called Wayne College, not the Firestone Campus.

What's that?

Read the report pea-has-more-brains. I'm talking about 6 year rates, for undergrads, in four year programs, from the 2003 Board of Regents report, with national samples compared. I'm not focused on two year discount degrees, which seems to be your major want in life. Somebody give Sally Struthers this guys name.
Do try to actually understand what you are responding too, it makes the experience for the rest of us so much more interesting.

I can't believe this God of Wisdom and Knowledge who calls himself CasualObserver. His arguments are beaten 6 ways from Sunday but about a dozen different people, yet he still won't give up. I would think he would at least do the honorable thing and bow out gracefully. I've heard ofblind faith, but this is unreal.

According to US News Best College Rankings, most widely used and looked upon college rankings, BGSU = third tier school, UT - 4th tier school. 4th tier school means the lowest of the low if you were wondering. This has been the case for as long as they have been publishing these rankings. Hence, BG is obviously a better school than UT. Simple analysis for you.
BGSU 3rd tier ranking:

I would respond to you idiots with some more logic, but it is obvious you guys do not understand plain and simple reasoning. The ranking in USNews is certainly skewed. First of all, it only ranks "National Universities", not ALL universities. To even be in the 4th tier is good because it only ranks the top-250 (of over 11,000) universities. Secondly, it takes into account your graduation rate which, because of our open admissions and because the people you would normally send to Firestone in an AA are enrolled in UT in a four-year degree, it is skewed.
But, you guys do not have the ability to reason. In 2000, there was a similar ranking to US News and World Report where they asked professionals to rank law schools. Princeton Law School was ranked in the top-10. Unfortunatly, Princeton does not have a Law School. These rankings are not an exact science.
I am still still still waiting for you to give me one single example of how you do not have the equivelent of open admissions. You can't. You keep trying to say I am wrong about all these things but you do not look at what I am talking about.
It just is a sad state of affairs that you are in charge of admitting students to your university.
Listen, inbreeds, I have a lot to do. I have to bang half your wives and then head to the MAC Championship game for the third time in four years. Congrats on your one shot at glory last year (that you f-ed up). Have fun with the 87 fans you will travel to GMACrap Bowl.
I would say your collective IQ's on this board, including the idiots who actually work at BGSU on this board, is about 34-ish.
If the wife says she is working late, you know where she'll be.
