I know you 2 are buds Freak so I'm sure you are hurting to hear this the most of all our AZZ.com crowd. I heard about it yesterday but didn't feel like posting about it until I got some facts and really I haven't yet so I don't know what to believe.Falconfreak90 wrote:Everyone,

Peregrines need to relax
Many who post on this board are ridiculously pompous and think their opinion counts more because they post frequently. Additionally, anyone who is new and offers an opinion or posts something that ruffles the feathers of the old guard is ridiculed.
Re: Peregrines need to relax
I don't think that's true at all. I think what is true is that people here trust those that post more because almost all of us know one another outside of the board as well. We have met, talked, and tailgated together on many occasions. The result is that many of the frequent posters on here consider one another friends. At the same time a new poster is still a likely stranger. No indictment on them, but still a stranger.bgou wrote:Many who post on this board are ridiculously pompous and think their opinion counts more because they post frequently. Now if your friend told you something would you be more or less likely to believe it than if it had come from a total stranger? We know that most of the frequent posters on this board are not rumor mongers and only post things when they have, in fact, heard it from a reputable source. I'm not saying that this rumor is or is not the truth, I have no idea, but surely you can see why people would be more trusting of the more frequent posters than a new guy. Furthermore most of us would love nothing more than for all you new guys to become more frequent posters, and we'd welcome you all into our community with open arms.
In most cases I don't even care about the post count of someone. However, when its something like a major news break, good or bad, you can bet that I'm gonna check the source. I hope the news is wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was true, so we'll see.
But as a frequent poster I find your comments that we are pompous and think our opinion weighs more than others quite insulting. Everyone's opinions on this board are equal, and I'm pretty sure, despite what you believe, many of us have come to grips with that fact.
