That should be a fun way to spend an afternoon. There are 2 days left on the bid with the current one being $450.

Geez, $450? Those two are pratically celebrities in Bowling Green.

Current bid is still at $450 with 1 day left. I wonder if an AZZ'er will go after this?

There are NO bids on it. That is the "asking" opening bid.

$450 is kind of steep to play BG Country Club, no offense to the WBB program. Not to mention it seems if they put together foursomes, someone would end up in the same group only paying $150 or whatever the Falcon Bash entry fee is. It's all for a cause near and dear to our hearts, but the starting price seemed a little high.

There were two other auctions listed starting at $750, including one with George Jackson and Anthony Stacey. No idea what they ended up going for.

I really believe the athletic department has priced themselves right out of the picture for many of the fans out there. With the old type individual sport golf outings, you paid maybe $100 for a day of golf and entertainment and hanging out with the coaches, players etc. Now the big money people can still do that, but it has been taken away from the "average" fan and those that go to most athletic contests and buy a hotdog. Of course Gladieus has priced many of us out of buying a hotdog now too!!

Just to clarify......without comment on the entry fee for the outing:

First, it's not a WBB outing at BGCC. It's an athletic department event supporting ALL teams. It is a less expensive alternative to the much more expensive Stone Ridge Golf Club outing which draws the donors with deeper pockets.

The entry fee for the BGCC outing is $175 per golfer (slightly less if you come with your own 4-some). The $450 minimum bid to play with Curt and Kate includes two players entry fees, which include golf, dinner and the program. Therefore the minimum bid of $450 is asking just $50 extra per player for the priviledge of playing with Curt and Kate.

(Before you say it..........I already had my 4-some entered before this was offered!)

WBBFan is right. I was trying to work out an arrangement with another person to make a bid for this one. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for her at this time.

Kate plays golf just like basketball - with a lot of determination.

That makes more sense, then, I guess I read that part wrong, or it just didn't register that it was for 2 tee times.

So it's not a separate outing, but they have separate outings (as part of the Falcon Bash)? I know it's easier for those that usually played in a number of the individual sports outings, and it probably brings more attention to ALL sports (which is kind of cool), but $175 is pretty steep, especially if that's the "cheap" outing.

The chance to golf with Kate and Curt (and the package with Anthony Stacey) is back up for bid, starting at 200$ this time. Still includes golf for 2 and the dinner.

Last year there were two outings at the same time...the 2nd was at Creason while the other at Stone Ridge. I am pretty sure there was a huge price difference between the two.

$175 for BGCC though is still out of my range...especially for that course. I would rather play at Creason than at the CC. Maybe that's just me though...
