Interesting, He was picked up off Waivers from the Falcons on the 5th....wonder if this puts him one step closer to the grave, or if this is a blessing for him.

It means he still draws an NFL paycheck. He didn't last long on waivers and as I understnd it is being given a serious shot at the number two position behind Bulger. And he was with Tampa not Atlanta- he had no shot there with the glut of QBs fo rth eBucs. He got thrown to the wolves in TB-hopefully here he'll be able to sit and learn and not have to play every game.

I thought he did an alright job for the bucs. Maybe he was inconsistent, and not a long term plan for them. IIRC he had some good games though.

Al Saunders is their new OC and he's the king of screens and dump off passes. Gradkowski fits the system perfectly.

Just the fact Gradkowski is in the NFL is an accomplishment. I hope he gets a shot and does well. The more MAC players in pro ball, the better.

Bruce had nothing on Jacobs! Jacobs timing was just off! If I remember correctly; Grad didn't come out early into the draft and Jacobs did. That decision from Jacobs to come out early in the draft was a mistake and hurt him I think. Jacobs is way more accurate than grad, bigger, stronger and smarter (with the exception of drafting early).

I'm sorry, but I don't think you could be further from the truth here. There is a reason that Omar is no longer in the NFL, and likely has no shot to ever return to the NFL. And it sure as hell isn't below his shoulders.

Also, while Gradkowski didn't throw downfield all that much he does hold NCAA records for accuracy. And there's a reason he still IS in the NFL- head, heart and athletic ability. He won't be great, may never play another down, but he definitely earned his way into the league.

Bruce is a smart, accurate QB. He doesn't have the arm strength to ever become a full time starter, IMO, but there is always a place on the sidelines in the NFL for a guy like him. His types are generally good to have around the film room, and his accuracy makes him have some use off the bench. In the NFL, though, you cannot survive as a full time starter with a weak arm.
