Looks like our coaching staff is trying to make a run at every top player in Ohio. Despite the article being about Miami; it's good to know that we are in the race.

From the article:

Like most GCL products, academics are important to McElroy. In college, he would like to major in architecture or engineering.

Oh no, not this again.

McElroy is interested in the following schools (in no particular order): Bowling Green, Kansas, Kent State, Miami, Oakland, USC, and Virginia.
I don't know about anyone else but there sure looks like an order to those schools in my view - ALPHABETICAL order 8-)

We need to land another "big" in order to have that low post scoring threat and defensive presence that many schools lack. There was a kid at Norwalk who was listed at 6'11" who signed to play at a junior college in Kansas, I believe. He was an all conference player, but didn't recieve much recruiting attention. You can't coach size, so getting taller players is a necessity, in my opinion, in order to continue with the programs march toward prominence!

Without knowing the situation, if a all conference player in high school is 6'11" and is going JUCO, grades may be the main reason.
