Greetings, J*** and K******.
I was informed that last evening, Sunday June 15th at about 1700, your boat returned to your slip with six people aboard - none of them were either of you. This was in direct violation of club rules.
Article 8 of the Constitution is where the By-Laws can be found. The one at issue is under ground rule 1-84-11, "Members must be present when their guests are on Club property or on the member's boat and shall be personally responsible for the conduct and safety of their guests. A guests' cars shall be parked in designated areas."
During conversation with the Commodore and Vice Commodore, it was discovered that the boat is owned by an additional party. This party - by Constitution - must be a voting member of the club with no exceptions. Under the definition of Class B member (Article 2 of the Constitution), "Co-owners shall be limited to two (2) per boat, both of whom must be voting members and in good standing." Please contact Sherry Wagner so that this other ownership interest may apply for Class B membership.
Finally, boat operation is confined to member, spouse and their children only. Again, have other interest contact Sherry Wagner for application.
*********** Yacht Club has a constitution and by-laws which must be adhered to. We provided you a copy of this document at your membership committee meeting. These rules are not to be followed as a matter of convenience. I, the Officers, Trustees and club members expect compliance in the future.
If you have any questions regarding this email, please contact me directly. Any questions regarding our Constitution and Bylaws can be handled by myself or any of the Officers and Trustees of the Club.
Thank you for your attention to this matter,
