And a Magner update

Since I was looking at the AFL website about Harris, here are Cole's stats for this season.

Cole with another big night. At 4-10, his team would make the playoffs if the season ended today.

Nice to seem as an entrenched starter for the Rampage. Hopefully somewhere down the line an NFL team keeps a look at him.

8 catches for 97 yards and two TD's in his "homecoming" to Columbus tonight.

AFL

Post by murph »

I saw my first AFL game tonight. The Columbus Destroyers and Grand Rapids Rampage. Figured I'd take Dad for Father's Day.

It was pretty interesting. Took a little bit of time to figure out the different rules, but it's entertaining. I think they need to back off a bit, though. There was no reason to have music between EVERY play. That was too much. Overall, though, I was pleased.

As for our BG boys, if Josh was in uniform, I didn't see him.

Cole, on the other hand, was on the field for about 90% of offensive plays and all the special teams. He's the up man on KO returns, the holder, and covers kicks, too.

Offensively, he was very good. I can't find a box score, so I can't give the exact numbers, but, as we've seen before, he was great in the clutch. Running a 4 yard slant or curl when 3 yards were needed. Catching everything thrown his way that he could've. He had 2 TDs including one that was one handed while he was being interfered with. It was great to see him play again.

GO FALCONS!

The AFL site had him with 9 for 102, actually. Highlight of his first TD (using two hands) is at :44.

Murph, that all sounds great, but more importantly, did you see his girlfriend?

Yes, quite. It's down to Holly or Stephanie for me, I think.

Hmm. Stephanie.

On second thoughts, Holly.

I don't know now. So hard to tell.

As long as neither one of them didn't speak. I can't believe I read their bios, but it was like a train wreck. One of the bombshells listed her greatest accomplishment as passing math.

I am sure the makers of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Lucky Charms cereal have sent their marketing departments into overdrive by Captain Holly's and Rookie Stephanie's ringing endorsements for their brands.

I just turned my kids on to Aunt Jemima pancakes for the first time. I wonder what Cole Magner eats for breakfast these days?

Adding and subtracting with these girls isn't too hard, but be careful not to multiply or else you may be in trouble then.

In all honesty, I knew a lot of cheerleaders in high school, and a few here in college, and they are the most annoying girls I've ever met.

Good advice. I would be glad to test either one on a multiplication table first.
