Well, looks like most everyone out in Mormanland has resigned themselves to the fact that Urban is gone. I'm happy for Urban getting the chance to get his dream job, but the evil part of me is happy to see these Ute b***ards get screwed the way we did when they took us from him. Its kind of funny how the same lies just flow like wine no matter where Urbie is.

Just remember, they didn't give a damn about us when Urban came! TAKE THAT UTES! HA HA HAAAA!!!!!!!!

It is a very evil and very dark part of me...

I remember a number when some of the Uteguys came into the AZZ chat room while we were all venting about Urban leaving (you think last Tuesday was bad!?) Anyway, we predicted to them they would only see him for two years.

Still, I don't harbor any ill will to Utah for hiring him. I only wish Urban had said things more like he said today.

My favorite part (although it's tough to pick because I'm thoroughly enjoying every bit of this) of this whole thing HAS to be that they say Urbie won't leave because his wife and kids love it there. Heard that one before, it's hardly an honest, air-tight line from him. He's gone, guaranteed.

How many BGSU fans are getting that schadenfreude feeling when reading about the Ute football fans probably losing their coach. I know I am.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

There's no direct translation. It's a German word basically meaning wishing ill will or bad luck upon other people or person.

The word fits in this scenario.

Also listen/read lyrics to the song on Avenue Q's soundtrack of the same name. It's a great song, from a great play!

(In case you have not heard of it, Avenue Q is a play that makes fun of Sesame Street. Other songs from the soundtrack include "What do you do with a B.A. in English", "If you were Gay", "The Internet is for Porn" (with Porn being said by the Cookie Monster-esque character...which is funny but disturbing at the same time), "You can be as loud as the hell you want when your making love", and "I'm not wearing underwear today")

Leave it to me to bring us even more off-topic...lol

Yeah, its been pretty amazing around here since getting the bowl bid. Between everyone being giddy and CasualObserver making things retarded I don't think that there has been a thread in two days that has stayed on topic!

Now, lets get back on topic and rub it in to the Utes! Come on! You KNOW you wanna!!!!!!!!

I always thought it meant deriving pleasure from the misfortunes of others.

I agree with Lord Byron's definition of "schadenfreude". I've always been a fan of "sturm and drang" and "angst", although "enuii" has always been a factor in my life.

That "what do you do with a B.A. in English" crapola hits a little close to home...
