Salad porn

Post by TG1996 »

I've had this idea for months, but finally put it together after eating one at a local salad shop.

I grilled a bunch of chicken breasts the other day, pretty much just straight up. I made one fresh, which was fantastic, but for the leftovers, I just tear a breast up, throw it in a pan on low/medium heat with some Franks wing sauce, stir it around a bit to coat it, then at the end, toss in some croutons and coat them a bit, too. In the salad, it's just iceberg lettuce with celery and diced red pepper (the restaurant had red onions as well) with ranch dressing (because bleu cheese dressing is just wrong.) I'm still working on finding the right cheese to go on top, although thoughts of some garlic in the pan with the chicken and some parmesan sounds fun.

Looks good. One of the local diners here has a Buffalo Chicken salad that is pretty good. They deep fry the chicken though...grilled would probably be better (and much healthier).

My digicam broke and the one thing that I REALLY miss is the ability to post food porn :( I didn't use mine that much, but I need to find a relatively inexpensive camera so I can post food porn pics again...I miss them.

Nice looking salad there TG. I definitely would eat more salads that had grilled chicken in it, hmmmm. :D
