Might not be a bad idea... avoid the distractions that may lie ahead.

We can have this theme back for "throwback week" during homecoming.
They can flush the new logo though. It doesn't suck, but I won't actually pay money to wear it.

I generally like the new logos, particularly the interlocking BG with the falcon head peeking out which thankfully seems to have emerged as the preferred one. I am, however, quite disappointed with the complete phasing out of the “old” one. I would think they could coexist.
This is more of an observation than a complaint, but has anyone else noticed the “new” font used for BG athletics is more common that it initially appeared to be? I don’t think it necessarily needs to be unique to BG. The intent was simple consistency within. However, Providence College is just one specific example of another school that has also started using a standard font in recent years which is very similar to BG’s. Not a big deal really, but for personal New England based reasons the similarity to PC bugs the wickets out of me.

I'm nit picking, as always, and no, I don't want to re-fight the entire logo debate. However, to me, a logo is a single, simple symbol. It is the new logohead, or the old LT logo. Not half of either, covered by some letters. Not the WMU or OU graphics with the mascot head integrated with WMU or Ohio. Those make their helmets look like billboards.
I can at least deal with the falcon football helmets having BG on it. But if they were to then try to add the logohead, that just wouldn't work to me.
