Re busting on new people...I don't think newness alone is a ever an issue. New posters are typically welcomed. Newness combined with a controversial first post will always raise eyebrows and draw a certain level of skepticism. Personally, I hate to see anyone posting private information about a third party in a public forum, but that's just me.
If these latest accusations are true, I hope Matt can get himself together.

Do the crime...do the time! It's all part of the deal.
Yep...and I bet that there's an interesting story for both of these

It was a Michael Jordan Starting Lineup Action Figure from Hill's at the Woodland "mall.' Total cost < $5. Did it on a dare on my 19th birthday. Brilliant!! I had like $50 in my wallet... Smart...transfer2BGSU wrote:Which trophy did you take?
On a related note, when I graduated, my parents presented me with the same "action figure" I had gotten in trouble for as a graduation present. It's now still in its original container and is worth upwards of $250 to the right Jordan memorabilia collector.

Where in the heck was Treadway Hall? That is definitely a new one to me! I mean I feel old just because I can walk through campus where there used to be a road, a union half the size, and Prout Hall. To not know about this makes me feel young againZiggyZoomba wrote:http://157.134.164.156/cgi-bin/fccgi.ex ... 89CRB00274TJRocket wrote:Way to go BGSUman, whether he's still a Falcon or not, im sure Matt appreciates you posting his personal information in a public forum.bgsuman wrote:This an old one huh? Treadway was one part of Founders before the re-design. It looked out on the power station.McMetz811 wrote:Where in the heck was Treadway Hall? That is definitely a new one to me! Polwer station...what a great band.
Oddly enough, I was a loss prevention manager for Hill's Department stores up in Adrian back in 1988/1989. When I quit to take a fancier sounding regional postion with Rite Aid (I also had run an internal investigation on our store GM that ruffled some feathers) they offered me my choice of stores to stay. I almost took the post in Bowling Green...

I think you're making this post up.omar2sharon wrote:I don't know why some of you are still accusing me of making things up when one of Matt's friends confirmed it on page 2...
You can't expect anything official to come out right now b/c that's how BG should handle the situation.
Lighten up dude...
We all know Matt has had a problem in the past. We hope it's not true and most of us probably believe your account.

Matt,
Do whatever you need to do to get things right cuz we care a whole hellava lot for you. God bless you, bro.
GO FALCONS
Thanks man....how do I say this? I've known for a few days but didn't want to post out of respect for Matt and his family. Having been busted on 3 DUI's myself and in other trouble, I know what Matt is going thru and it isn't fun. It is a total drag going thru that crap.
Matt is really a good kid....and he's great with the young kids at games and stuff.
From what I know, I don't think Matt will be making the trip to Mobile and that breaks my heart for him. He worked too damn hard to get back to where he was.
Just keep him in your prayers and thoughts....the power of prayer is an amazing thing.

No offense to anyone in particular, but if you are looking at this situation as only effecting our game against Memphis you are missing the true issue. That being that a young man may have made another life changing mistake.
Hopefully Matt can get this problem behind him and move on with life. I don't care if he plays another down if he can get this problem licked.
Good Luck Matt...we are all behind you.

That strikes me as a wee bit melodramatic.Redwingtom wrote:a young man may have made another life changing mistake.
If he did the crime, he will do his time, so to speak.
I can put myself in Matt's shoes very easily -- because, if convicted, Matt will have almost exactly the same rap sheet I earned while at BGSU.
It didn't stop me from contributing to the student community, graduating from BGSU and moving forward into a career.
Of course, the elephant in the room is the possibility that Matt may have a problem with alcohol.
We can't assume that, though. College culture is so soaked in beer that it can be very difficult to distinguish between those who are binge drinking because it's the thing to do and those who have a genuine physical problem with alcohol.
I've been where Matt is. It is a miserable, miserable place. He will need to reflect on who he is and where he is going. He will grow from this.
But "life changing" strikes me as a bit strong. This doesn't have to change anything for Matt as long as he learns and grows from this.
