Parenting and Tailgating Fun

Post by FortWayneFalcon »

I took my son to a couple games last year (including 'Bama). We both greatly enjoyed the experience. My boy is extremely into sports, and he's 6. Since before the Mobile game, I've gotten caught up in the excitement of this website, football, and reconnecting. I've ordered 4 season tickets and tickets for the Pitt game.
Would I be crazy to try tailgating with kids along? Can ya'll share your thoughts on this matter?

We have kids younger than six tailgating and they all seem to have a blast.

Just keep him away from BleedingOrange's minivan...

If you plan on tailgating, I highly suggest doing it with the guys and gals from this site. Because I'm in the FMB, I've had the opportunity to tailgate only a couple of times with the azz group at the spring games. Especially when you have kids, you couldn't find a better group of people from all across the area to tailgate with.

My daugher was 4 (weeks) at her first tailgate last fall. She slept 90% of the time. We have season tickets with plans to go to a few of the road games this fall and tailgate. We won't have crazy flipcup-filled tailgates, but we will definitely be out there before the games with the little one. It is never too early to hook kids on BGSU.

FalconFreak usually has his kids there, 1987 alum brings his along as well when he gets to make it to games. Others do as well...we are a family friendly bunch!

For the most part the general rule is to just stick with families. There's still some students that don't understand how to act when children are around.

The lady on the left has a big UT banner over her desk in her office and she wears blue to work almost every day. I thought someone should know.

Man TG....that's gettin' rough.

FWF,

Hang out with our gang and bring the kids...although you may want to steer clear of BGFan...after certain foods and such, it can be very difficult to breathe if you know what I mean.

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Hey, I was gonna let him slide, but once he went off and registered "popsiclesandbackrubs.com", he's fair game. :-D
