Who do you think is ready to break out and put up unprecedented impressive stats this season (like Kevin Schmidt last year)?

I'll go with Kantola. After his freshman year I expected a big year from him last season but he def. came up short. Hopefully he can follow up on the potential he showed two seasons ago.

I'm actually going to go off the board completely and say Nick Eno. I think this guy takes a big step forward for us and moves closer to being a top-level CCHA goalie.

He'll need to because our offense will probably struggle without Whitmore.

McIlrath.
He played all last season with tons of speed and determination. Every time he was on the ice it seemed as if the tempo of the game was turned up a notch. it was not untill late in the last few games where he started finding the back of the net. AS important as that is, i think have to think as long as he plays the same way it will be a big a help, but I do think he will be finding the back of the net and making some more key passes that result in stats this season.

Dan Sexton has some good moves, too.

I thought about putting Sexton and Eno in the poll but they both had pretty good freshman seasons. Sexton was 5th in team scoring and Eno was on the CCHA all-rookie team. If they show massive improvement on top of that we may be in for a heckuva season.

I voted Svendsen. I'm not the most knowledgeable hockey person around here, but since I first noticed him in the O&B game a couple years ago I've been feeling like he could break out for a huge season. Obviously it hasn't happened (not on a large scale), but I feel like he has the speed and confidence to make things happen.

Four games into the season and Kantola is halfway to tying his best goal output ever and Sexton is challenging for the lead league in scoring.

I'd vote for McIlrath, but then again, he'd actually have to be in the lineup to have a breakout season.  Todd is the type of player that you love to root for...gives 110% every time he's out there, he's gritty and determined.  Now, if our coaching staff would realize that this type of player is HELPFUL, not harmful to our team and give him some more ice time, then we'd see him have a breakout year...I was also told that Cameron Sinclair was going to be a true stud for this team.  I believe the quote was that he was capable of scoring 40 points on the season...but as far as I know, he hasn't seen much, if any ice time...anyone want to chime in as to why?  Was this person who gave the 40 point plateau completely offbase?  I don't think so, given that this person has all of the credentials to know what makes a good hockey player.  Of course, if this person and I are both interested in seeing a kid on the ice, it'll never happen...we have different philosophies than the coach.GO FALCONS!

I think the Svendsen has a very good chance really add to his goal total this year. He just needs to keep shooting the puck. I also would like to see Dee pick up his offensive production a little bit. He does great things all over the ice that don't get noticed, I think that he could be 15 point guy by the end of the year if he clicks a little offensively.

One of, if not, our best defensive forward last year. Definitely should see some more ice time.
