Players missing from roster
Players missing from roster
Four more players are off the roster: Glenn Stanley, Anthony Mosley, Alfred Tomlinson, and Derrick Williams. All four were defensive players. Not trying to speculate too much, but I would guess one of these is related to the Barrow/Hardwick alleged burgulary incident.

Are you sure about that? I know he had some problems, but he was on the roster two days ago. Not trying to speculate, just looking for clarification.Falconfreak90 wrote:Stanley was an academic casuality...which really sucked as he had great potential.

Really? I didn't know that. I'm not sure...I know he had grade problems recently.Warthog wrote:Are you sure about that? I know he had some problems, but he was on the roster two days ago. I'd say academics. I recall some of the spring quotes from Brandon made it clear that Stanley wasn't part of the long-term plan and that was before this "incident" came to light.

Stanley was a heckuva LB. He could stop the run/tackle really well. I liked him too because he was from the Ocala area I believe and a player my grandpa watched play high school ball down in FLA.
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!
I'm not saying it isn't academics. Just saying he was listed on the Spring roster I printed on 3/27. And he was still on the roster I printed 7/16 (Hardwick and Barrow were the only two missing, I think.) Now this morning, Stanley and the other three are missing.1987alum wrote:Warthog:Falconfreak90 wrote:Really? I didn't know that. Re: Players missing from roster
We are getting thinner and thinner at DB. First we moved Sanderson and Marshall to LB, now we lose these 3 guys and who knows what is to come. What is our 2 deep at DB now?Warthog wrote:Four more players are off the roster: Glenn Stanley, Anthony Mosley, Alfred Tomlinson, and Derrick Williams. All four were defensive players. Starters?
21 Kenny Lewis *** DB 5-11 185 SR
2 Antonio Smith *** DB 5-10 180 SR
24 Jahmal Brown** DB 5-10 192 JR
25 P.J. Mahone ** DB 5-11 201 JR
Then what?

Regardless of when the U gets around to putting it on their website, I think his departure has been common knowledge for a while....

Glenn Stanley is off because of academics. Anthony Mosley was a walk on that didn't come back in the winter. Alfred Tomlinson was starting to become a good player and probably would have saw some PT this year. Not sure what happened to him, but I would be HIGHLY suprised if he was involved in this incident. Not sure why Derrick Williams would be off the team but I did see him a couple days ago. I really do not think any of these players listed were involved...but who am I to say.
