Here's the latest I have on Keith:Globetrotter wrote:I didnt see it anywhere else...

Keith signed a 1yr deal with the Mavs . He went out there in June and worked out with some vets and Coach Carlise and had a very good showing. Then he had a solid camp this week and they signed him before summer league games began.
Keith got a regular NBA contract from the Mavs . Remember he last played in the NBA in 2007 for the Pacers (started the last 3 wks of the season and played great) Rick Carlise and now Carlise is the HC of the Mavs.
Ketih has a new agent and it looks like playing in the association is now more important that trying to get a bigger contract.
As for the incident with the gun . It was dropped down to a misdemeanor and Keith did some very positive community service with local youth and is going to continue working with these various youth groups even though his hours are completed, etc.

This is good to hear. I remember thinking that he was making a mistake at the time, glad to see he's made his way back into the league. Keith can play a little, it was a shame to see him out of the league just because he wanted more guaranteed cash or a longer deal than what was on the table at the time.ZiggyZoomba wrote:

I agree with Hammb that the contract situation as it currently stands is awesome for Keith, but I have to say that I am much happier to read the above about him. Based upon your assessment, Grant (which I always find reason to trust...even though you're youZiggyZoomba wrote:

Not good for Keith.

The stat lines from Vegas were not pretty and, apparently, Aaron Miles and JaJuan Smith outplayed him.

Not sure what not good for Keith means? They didn't need to see anymore of Keith playing so they signed him to a one year contract. He played good enough to gain a contract.BGGrad01 wrote:Not good for Keith.
