Players out in the community
Yesterday, I stopped at Kroger to pick up some stuff, and there were four freshman football players in their jerseys at the door handing out schedule cards and info cards for season tickets!! They said they had football players at Meijer, Wal-Mart and Bass Pro doing the same thing! I thought that was an AWESOME idea!!!! I have no idea who those young men were, but I did write down their numbers so I could check!! They were VERY personable and said they loved it here at BG!! Great Marketing idea!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Do we have new orange jerseys? Its really about time we have orange home jersey's or brown home jerseys that match the scheme of the away ones. Having 3 different schemes is just ridiculous IMO.Falcon137 wrote:This is a great idea! Anytime community members can have a personal experience with these players it can't hurt.
Any idea whether they were wearing the new orange jerseys?

Nice job, fellas. Getting out to meet the community is a great way to market the team...and get the Freshmen involved early.Falcon Fanatic wrote:Yesterday, I stopped at Kroger to pick up some stuff, and there were four freshman football players in their jerseys at the door handing out schedule cards and info cards for season tickets!! Agreed times infinity... ESPECIALLY whoever had the Bass Pro Shops idea. That's a huge store in a "battleground" area. Not to mention the folks from all over NWO that are checking that place out. Good chance hunters are football fans, too.Falconfreak90 wrote:Nice job, fellas.
