Just played my 1st game on my dynasty. Lost to Pitt 18-14 on All-American level. This game may even surprise me in how realistic it can be!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

Sweet deal. :)

I've started out 2-0. Beat Pitt 24-21, and Minn 21-19.

I'm liking that you actually get close games between evenly matched teams.

Any idea how the PS2 version is? I could pick it up, or the '08 version for $5 at Target. The most recent one I have is '07, and I'm thinking an upgrade is in order.

I got the game, and I'm not seeing these major issues. The game looks pretty clean at first glance on all-american. I beat Pitt 44-20. A couple late turnovers made it look worse than it was. I then beat Minnesota 44-43, oddly enough by going for 2 with 3 seconds left in the game. :)

The new quickcall feature in recruiting looks pretty good. It'll be a more time-efficient way (in-game and in real life) to begin the recruiting process.

If anybody wants to hook up for a game, my tag is skillz1213.

Did you download an edited roster to start your dynasty? Apparently the roster bug is a known issue and EA is actually pushing a patch through to get it fixed ASAP. Doesn't seem to be much of a problem unless you're a big time roster editer. Personally I couldn't stand the players numbers, so I always downloaded a roster with all the names.

The other bug that would be rather annoying that I've read is that the CPU QBs are insanely accurate...never having off target throws. Apparently almost all of their incompletions will be deflections/ints/hits jarring the ball loose?

Supposedly they are working on a 2nd patch to fix this and other gameplay issues. At least that's the scuttlebutt on the Operation Sports forums. The roster thing is very real though, and has been acknowledged by people at EA.

It's actually pretty sweet on those forums the last month or so. EA finally lifted their ban on the developers posting on message boards. As a result a few of the designers (including the art guy for NCAA) have been posting over there and answering questions. I think that will help these games get much better over the next year. He did talk a little about the stadiums. As you would guess it takes a lot of time and work to render the stadiums...they have to send a photographer out to take multiple high res photos of every stadium that they render. Not surprisingly keeping up with the updates to larger teams' stadiums is preventing them from getting the work done on the remaining 17 teams that still don't have their stadium rendered.

He did mention as well that he wants to get all the mascots brought into the game. The art guy is actually a UCF grad, so at least we're not dealing with a totally BCS bunch, the problem of course is that it's the BCS crap that sells the game.

When I played Pitt in dynasty (beat them 38-20 on All-American) I didn't have this issue, Pitt's QB was decent for the first quarter of the game, then sucked it up in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. I was up 35-7 going into the 4th, put in the back-ups and they got a couple cheap scores on me.

Yeah - Pitt's QB blew. All 20 of their points came on 3 60+ yard passes that were all run after the catch in the first half while I was getting use to playing the game again. He couldn't do anything in the second half. Overthrows, picks, deflections all over the place. Our secondary is pretty stacked in this game.

And no - I didn't do anything with rosters yet because of the bug. I can deal with numbers for the time being or I'll edit the starters manually.

Yeah our secondary is stack, I have 3 interceptions in the game, two by Kenny Lewis and one by Jamhal Brown. Pitt's last two scores on me were via long pass and catches, first one was on the ground. I really shut down that great RB though after their 1st drive

From what I gather though you will have to restart your dynasty after the patch. Editing your roster manually will not help because editing it is what causes the bug in the first place. According to the developer it has something to do with the addition of WKU and them screwing up dealing with the extra team.

My biggest thing with the names is that I always export the draft classes and I don't want QB #12 in Madden, I want their real names.

Just picked mine up for PS3 today, so far so good. Not having the Doyt is a lil upsetting but once you start the game you don't notice. Also the orange jerseys look great. SBX selling them yet?

Carlson, I got the ps2 version yesterday, and it's pretty good. It's better than the '08 version. Doyt L. Perry Stadium is better looking, although they have the logo on the field facing the wrong way (facing the visitor's side). They still don't have the SEBO Center in it (obviously) but it isn't the Bowl Stadium that some of the other console versions have. The helmets have the new interlocking BG as well.

Are these the orange jerseys from the last several years or something new?

New. Same style as the road jerseys. Orange jerseys with brown and white shoulder stripes and solid brown down the side. I'm hoping these are the new home ones.

As do I, they look sweet in the game

Beat Minnesota today in dynasty 44-27 to improve to 2-0. I might have seen some slights of the QB accuratly problem, Minny's QB was very accurate during the game, but I intercepted him 4 times, plus one more INT when their back-up came in.

Also when looking over some of the simulated scores from the other games during the weeks found some very interesting stuff, in week 1 six 1-AA schools beat 1-A schools, and in a shocker Akron beat #9 Wisconsin in Camp Randall, then week 2 Miami beat Michigan in the Big House. Ah gotta love computer simulations of the rest of the weeks games

Just won the NC first year at BG over Wisconsin. That's the first time I've ever won the NC in my first dynasty year. I've gone undefeated first year before, but things never break right to make it in to the game.

Incidentally, A couple of my friends and I are looking at starting up an online dynasty. If anybody is interested, shoot me a PM and I'll give you some details. Xbox 360 only.
