Just talked with Ben last night at El Zarape! He is excited about going there. He's also almost done with school, has two online classes to take and then he's finished! He's VERY happy about that too!! Good Luck Ben!

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Dan Bylsma

Besides the coaching thing, Dan was recently inducted into the Grand Rapids, MI Sports Hall of Fame.
"You sit down in your seat and take pause about what you did as an athlete. Then I realized my wife and brother (Marybeth and Scott) are in the Bowling Green University Hall of Fame, and they've given me grief over the years about not being in a hall of fame like they are."

Which BG hall of fame is he talking about? Do we have an academic-type HOF?

Dan's wife, Mary Beth was inducted in 2004 for Gymnastics. The 1984 National Championship team was inducted in 1993.

And you'd think I hadn't read that list a trillion times before. Still don't know how I missed Mary Beth on there, but I'll forgive myself with the '84 team thing.

Jon Sitko has signed to play with Gwinnett of the ECHL again. That would mean that he and Ben Geelan are on the same team. Cool!
