Dont know if this is true, but in several message boards on ESPN.
12/2/04 INSIDERS.COM: Officials at the University of Utah have announced that Terry Hoeppner of the University of Miami (ohio) will replace Urban Meyer when he is named head coach of the University of Notre Dame on Saturday December 4. Hoeppner led the Redhawks to the MAC championship game 2 years in a row and is best know for having coached NFL rookie sensation Ben Rothlisberger.

Seems a little quick to me. Willingham was just fired on Tuesday.

Anyone think Hoeppner might end up in Indiana? Wasn't N'western's head coach a Miami guy?
Speculation, probably. But considering Willingham's firing was most likely a direct result of actions taken by Mrs. Meyer's husband, Utah would be silly (there's that word again!) to not start looking ASAP.
I thought Miami(OH) folks were convinced Hoeppner was staying there forever. Hmmm...
And yeah, NW head coach Randy Walker went there from Oxford.
