Word from Cincinnati is saying Howell won't qualify for next year. Nor has Calhoun even showed up for summer sessions? And what happen to Dusan's scholarship from last season?

I did a post along time ago that highlighted our potential recruits and their rankings based off a magazine.

I pulled it out after the Krauss signing and see he is/was ranked as the 7th best JR PG. Cortez Howell is ranked 4th.

Drew McGhee is ranked as the 3rd best C and Dane Kopp the 5th best Center amongst the juniors.

The Cincinnati Princeton duo who verballed were ranked 5th (Orlando WIlliams) at WG and 3rd at WF (Marquise Horne). I have heard no word about them since that initial verbal and will guess that has dried up.

BG Commit Darren Goodson is ranked as the #1 WG in the 2009 class.

Someone mentioned we are looking at another G for the 2010 class from Findlay. Aaron Craft is a 6-2 PG from Liberty Benton listed 3rd overall for PGs in that class.

At BG HS we have what looks like a good team coming up with 6-5 Pat Graham as a SR Big man 15th in that class. Chauncey Orr  listed as a 6-3 WF(2nd in that class) and Xavier Brown the 6th ranked PG in that class. (5-10).

FWIW that publication lists Calhoun as the best WF coming out of Michigan this year.

Not sure if I interpretted that correcly, but just wanted to clarify that Chauncy is just a sophomore this season, class of 2011

It's great that Coach Orr has apparently placed an emphasis on recruiting top local players. This looks like a excellent addition to the program. Prepspotlight is certainly is up on the info as they've broken stories on a bunch of MAC verbals going back a few years.

Alright, for love of Pete, can someone, anyone, PLEASE confirm whether Calhoun has shown up yet? Did he miss his bus and forget to call? Are the coaches getting nothing but voicemail? Did he take the scenic route? Did he actually show up at Central Michigan by mistake? Is he a slow poke? Is he just fashionably late? What the hell is going ON?!?!? GAH!!!

Austin was in attendance for at least one men's game last season, so at the very least I can confirm that he knows how to find Anderson Arena :)

Beyond that I know nothing...

Great. Now we know the issue isn't his spam filter blocking the "Welcome to Bowling Green" email.

Gang,

Every few weeks, someone has to ask how many scholarships we have left. In response, I will compulsively post a definitive list. A few weeks later, someone asks again, and I respond. Later, inevitably, "dahrrr… how many scholies?" And, again, I post a list. And so it goes, on and on. Well dammit, this has to stop. This routine used to make me giggle, but now it has gotten downright disconcerting.

Here's the secret: bgsufalcons.cstv.com has links for all men’s and women’s BGSU sports. Find the mens basketball link, and then find the word "roster". Click on that. You will see a list of players' names and classes. Ignoring walk-ons, count all names not listed as "sr"s. That's the number of scholarships officially committed for the next year.

Thirteen (13) is the key number. Subtract the number of scholarships officially committed (from above) from thirteen (13). That is the number of open scholarships. Write that number down so you don't forget it. Next, list the names of our verbal commitments on a piece of paper. Count those listed names and subtract from what you just wrote down. (Remember to double check your work.) THAT is how many scholarships we have to give. Congratulations. You now have the answer.

Sheesh. :)

You do realize that people from Toledo post on this board too, right? No way in hell are they going to understand that.
