Not that I would sink to that level. Just sayin'.
Cheep shot at Toledo, anyone?

Implied is that there were several turds... (check out Sussman's article referenced in the other schools thread) but I agree... It's REALLY hard to believe anyone of authority at Toledo knew anything about this or Scooter or Brucie or whomever.Redwingtom wrote:Why? Unless the Toledo Athletic Department had any knowledge or involvement I am not going to impune the whole university for the alleged actions of one turd.
Joplin decreased the guys playing time because he was playing so poorly so what more could he have done?
I still think this is all going to blow up into something really big and ugly before all is said and done though.

It'll blow up and somebody will take the fall. Joplin's already gone, but perhaps Amstutz will take a fall? I don't know, but I'm inclined to agree that there is no way those guys knew this was going on. Say what you will about Amstutz or Joplin, but there is absolutely no way they would've kept putting these guys into the games if they knew they were trying to fix games/shave points for betters...they would not have even left them on the team.ZiggyZoomba wrote:Implied is that there were several turds... That said, I'd be shocked if there weren't a good deal of teammates that did know this stuff was going on and I wonder why none of them came forward? The team should police itself of this type of crap.

Hammbone, you don't know who knew what, so stop it. Anyway, Villages would have been "advised" to keep his mouth shut. Anybody else would have been under the same "advice".hammb wrote:It'll blow up and somebody will take the fall. Joplin's already gone, but perhaps Amstutz will take a fall? Before we get too carried away out here, remember this: Trent Jackson.
This must be serious. I checked back in to see what the "word around the campfire" was and noticed that I, clearly, misspelled cheap. Class of '97!
Although, I prefer cheep shots at Toledo.
