Mmmmm Steak

Post by Rightupinthere »

Is there anything better in life than dead animal flesh grilled on an open flame?

Well, of COURSE there is! Take said meat and place a pad of compound butter on it. Tonight I cooked for my friends strip steaks with a honey chipotle butter on top. The reviews were quite good.

That was some goooooood eating.

Did four nice NY strips last night with butter and a hand rub of peppercorns, sea salt and fresh garlic. My dughter sprinled some oregano on during the cookin, and while I'm not sure I would have done that the results were pretty darn good.

Add some grilled potatoes and green beans fresh from the garden and all in all it made up for spendng the day cutting up an 80' elm treee that fell in my yard Thursday. Well, no it didn't but it helped.
