I would suggest the following:
If you have a long travel to get there the night before then stop in Cranberry, right off of I-76. Takes about 20 minutes barring traffic the next morning.
If you want to hit downtown the night before, and be at the tailgate at 7:00 am then the Springhill suites next to PNC field, or the Sheraton (although pricey!) at Station Square. Station square has a few bars, restaurants including a Hard Rock, and Hooters
Greentree has a radisson, Holiday Inn, and Hampton. About 15 minutes away from downtown and stadium.
To all, have a good time at the game. We won't be there....no we are not boycotting since the GMAC, but have a x-c meet same day same time, so I will be picking it up on the am dial.
In my travels to the Burg, they still seem unsure of who is in line up at several key spots...but not RB.

I've always parked in gold lot, but I have the pre-sold pass...I cannot tell you w/ 100% certainty if the whole lot is presold or not.. Sorry.. It would'nt hurt to try, and above is a pretty decent map of the north shore...
