Minny Game Looking GOOD

Post by The Niz »

I work for TrugreenChemlawn in Perrysburgh, and that work sends me all over NW Ohio, and I do mean, ALL OVER. I usually have a lot of contact with customers and the last few weeks have been no exception.

My point here is, just about every single person I talk to is buzzing about this game. I always have my BG lanyard hanging out of my pocket, and all of my customers have been asking me about the game. People from Bryan and Defiance area, all the way to Genoa and a little closer in Pemberville, even more tu biased cities like maumee, perrysburgh, holland and sylvania are talking about it. I AM PUMPED!

I even ate at B-dubs in P-burgh Sunday night and the guy at the table next to us was all about the Minny game.

Can't Wait!

Any word on how ticket sales are going? Have another commitment that day, but still hoping to be there.

I don't know anything about ticket sales, but I might have a way to find out.

If you're in BG, hit up the McDonald's on Wooster, they're handing out a special flyer for a promotion of half off on your tickets to the Minnesota game.

I'm planning on driving up with the girlfriend early Saturday, looking at an arrival of approximately noon...get some Polleyeys Breadsticks down for a nice base for the large amounts of alcohol to be consumed and start tailgating around 1...I'm going to have to get tickets between now and gametime at some point too...hmmm...I am stoked to be back for my first game since graduating!

I haven't yet finalized my tailgate plans for that day, but I'll be there...probably pretty early in the day.

Dad & I were talking about it yesterday and he keeps hounding me about it. I'm sure we'll be eating well, but I'm not yet sure what that will be exactly :) Of course copious amounts of alcohol will be consumed. We will probably start with Joose and move on from there.

I may not remember the actual game...I'm more excited for this game than I have been since '03. A Big 10 team in the Doyt is reason to party.

Also has anyone ever eaten gopher??? I'm thinking a gopher on a spit would be fun for novelty sake, if nothing else...

Uh, yeah dats a Minnesota gopher. You can tell by the way it's kinda chewy and a little tough. Good flavor though, those Minnesota gophers.

Bill Murray is kinda my boss, that's funny. We actually sell camo-Caddyshack-inspired floppy hats like that!

I am pretty pumped for this game which could be my only game of '08. As of right now it is the only game I am 100% attending but of course I could be easily swayed. . .

I purchased 10 tix yesterday and am planning on breaking up the 12 hour drive starting Thursday night rolling in to BG early Friday afternoon. Since it might be our only tailgate of ought-eight I'm thinking a pretty early start..... 9am? 10am? Definitely no later than noon. Should be a great and fun day!

You can start the day off downtown at the Black Swamp Art festival. I believe that is going on the same weekend.
