Transfer from Xavier??

Post by ZiggyZoomba »

According to this guy's blog ( http://crosstownshoutout.blogspot.com/2 ... ck-ad.html ), he thinks Adrion Graves will be transferring from Xavier to BGSU because of our coaching staff.

Anyone know anything about Graves?

Here's his Xavier bio page:

Sounds like he was a real stud in HS...

On paper, this kid is a tough read. He was a borderline rotation player for an excellent team. You can be a very good D1 talent and still be beaten out. That 8.1 minutes per game at X might translate to starting at 90% of D1 schools and averaging ~12ppg.

Looks like he was injured a lot of this past (his Soph) year too.

I watched Graves play high school ball and he is a flat out scorer!!!! He and Chris Knight played for rivals high schools down here in tha Nati and they had some battles. He is an excellent shooter and has tremendous athletic ability. As far as his character I think he has a good character I never remember hearing anything bad about him around the city. He would certaintly be a big boost to our program.

Anything that will help this team rebound from the past 5 years (minus year one of the Orr-a) would be a welcome addition...GO FALCONS! NCAA OR BUST!!!

Ha,

I was joking but we do have 13 schollies tied up for this year and 12+ some offers for 2009. For the record I have never not known how many scholarships we have had

Does someone who transfers and sits out due to the NCAA rule eat a scholarship? I think yes but dont know.

Do forget that a player can always pay his/her own way! It happens with transfers.

A possible transfer "from" another school and not "to" another school for BG?!?! Now we're talking!!! Seriously though, it sounds like he has a lot of talent and upside. From what I was able to pull up on him, I would be happy if he made BG his choice.

I've seen him play a bunch, he would be a big time MAC player. Really athletic, I like him a lot.
