How long until AZZ IM???

Post by VDub26Falcon »

So, with Facebook and MySpace both incorporating Instant Messaging in their websites, how far away is AZZ.com from doing that? I know you can send Private Messages and there's the chat room, but will there ever be an AZZ.com IM??? Just wondered!

Not a bad thought...

I'll look into that. Not sure if it would incorporate directly WITH the message boards... but maybe there's something out there for that too.

I do have much of ay-ziggy-zoomba.com hosted with google... so we could use the google talk app, I'd just have to set everyone up with an ay-ziggy-zoomba.com domain account separate from the accounts here on the message boards. I'd rather not have to maintain two databases of users if I can avoid it though... so let me do a little looking.

I thought I read a couple of months ago there are going to be some changes/new look or something to AZZ.com when football season comes around. Any news or was I imagining that?

It's all a dream... your uncle Zeke isn't really a scarecrow, either.

Yeah, at least give us a day and either give it to us earlier or later! Add some suspense here! :D

G:

I'm wary of Google (who I see as an Evil Empire In Waiting), but I have all the folks in my office set up on Google Talk - it helps A LOT with people who are working from home.

Of course, I barely get any work done as it is between AZZ.com and administrating Noah's teams, so adding an IM function might put me on unemployment ... which would actually give me more time to spend on AZZ ... hmmmmm.

The combination of my being really swamped at work and being really swamped with baby preparations at home and being really lazy with any free time I do get is kind of slowing my progress a little....

Hmmmmmmmmmm.... Maybe I should take a day off and just do it. Anyone want to talk to my boss about that?

What about AZZ status? Can you work that in, too? You know, so the people at AZZ can know when I have a sandwich, or when I'm tired of my PoliSci class, or want the work week to be OMG OV3R?

Can you do that too?

How about something to manage my budget or pay my mortgage? Can we work that out as well?

And can you have it done by October?
