plus GB and if nothing else is done, you can add Christopher to the list, as far as I'm concerned!

This part really concerns me. We have roughly 47 Jrs and Srs on the roster and only roughly 45 Fr and Sophs. You expect some attrition as the classes move up and guess leave the program for various reasons. So in two years when the two upper classes are gone and the two lower classes lose more guys here and there, we will have about 25 upper classman again. And then the coach gets the excuse for losing that we had to play so many young guys...BGSU33 wrote: from Ryan's blog:
One thing that has gotten overlooked in all of BG’s off field problems is the attrition the program has gone through. These defections are killing the depth and will continue to do so for years.

LOL, if I hear anyone use that excuse in future years I'll remember to link back to this post.Warthog wrote:This part really concerns me. As far as I'm concerned we should be looking for a new head coach right now. Unfortunately we're hamstrung now by a recent contract extension.
Maybe they built some 'out' clauses into it for "# of players arrested in a three month period". We have certainly exceeded that number by now.hammb wrote:Unfortunately we're hamstrung now by a recent contract extension.

I think this is a bit sudden, but I bet if things got to a point, a respectable alum might pay the school the remainder of his contract.Warthog wrote:Maybe they built some 'out' clauses into it for "# of players arrested in a three month period". Honestly though, after dealing with Brandon for more than two seasons, I'm pretty sure he's as concerned as all of you are. He's proud of his guys when they do well, I'd imagine that he's equally disappointed. We'll have to see how this plays out, though.

The "they're just college kids" crap has been punished and for the most part appropriately, IMO. No one should be kicked off a team for some of that which has come up in the past, I believe.ZuluWarrior wrote:I said it before, last year most recently, and I'll say it again. You treat the not so serious, 'they're just college kids' crap, with little punishment and this is the s**t you get.
But if you still look at someone getting a game susp. for a fight over a chick and think "hell, I can go use someone else's credit card... maybe bust down a door with air guns until I get some weed!"...you're still confused upstairs.
