Yes, enerally, guys with his status can. However, there's the labyrinth that is the NCAA rulebook that is rife with technicalities, and experts are rare. Where's Brewer when you need him?renorvis wrote:Field of 64 here we come!!! I think this guy will help us big time. Can he practice with the team now?
Eh, I'm usually lurking close by, hiding in the shadows.
Keeping up with all the NCAA rules and their constant changing of them is virtually impossible, but I think you're spot on. The great thing here is it sounds like he made his decision in time to get enrolled for the fall semester. That should allow him to practice all season and be availabe to play at the beginning of the following season. If he hadn't, which is often the case with transfers, he wouldn't have been able to practice until the end of fall finals week and couldn't have played until the same time in '09.
I don't like getting too high or low based on how things appear to be at any one point in time, which I suppose puts me in stark contrast with the internet message board community as a whole. I just think things usually aren't quite as wonderful or awful as the rhetoric the masses tend to shout. But I think one has to be impressed with how Orr and staff are going about things so far. There is just a quiet forward moving dignity about this program right now that I personally find, if nothing else, incredibly refreshing.

Stay far away from the football forum. Anything remotely negative is treated like the second coming of the Hindenburg. I've seen more measured reaction from English soccer hooligans.brewer wrote: I don't like getting too high or low based on how things appear to be at any one point in time, which I suppose puts me in stark contrast with the internet message board community as a whole.
