He's a great mentor for our two young QBs, and he knows the offense better than anyone not named Chudzinski.
If DA & BQ both get injured you can bet that somebody else will be brought in immediately, and the season is already over at that point anyways, so who cares? I would MUCH rather have a guy like Dorsey as my 3rd stringer than somebody that I hope is going to develop. Any NFL team loses their top 2 QBs and the season is done, so you may as well have a mentor type like Dorsey as the 3rd stringer.
Still, he does blow pretty hard when he's on the field. He'd be better suited to coaching, but they have to give him a roster spot to keep him around, so be it.
It's coming full circle! Derek on the sideline, the G-Men take out Brady, and then Dorsey's brady-esc rise to the top of the world begins. He does somewhat resemble TBrady's frame, right?
Yeah and Maurice Clarett will be the next Emmitt Smith...well Clarett does have one thing on him a NC
But seriously i think that omar might get another chance at the nfl if he can rise in the ranks of arena football quickly

I think he will be in before then.
Forte plays the whole first half. Jones, Peterson and Wolfe play most of the second half. PJ gets in the final 4 minutes of the fourth quarter ( 2 series/7 plays = 2 carries for 11 yards).

Yeah very disappointing. The previous game he had similar attempts with the other backs.

This was the 3rd preseason game. The "tune up" for the regular season. Starters always get more time and the guys who are not expected to make the roster get less in this game.
PJ will likely get more work in the 4th preseason game, but that's not exactly a good thing. PJ has little to no shot at being around for the regular season in Chicago...too many people there already. Sadly, he's nothing more than camp fodder so their other RBs don't have to take so many hits in camp.
It's really a shame that this kid is not getting more chances somewhere. There has to be some team that has the need for a player like P.J. The kid plays like he's 20 feet tall and it sucks that he can't be on the field every Sunday.

I agree, I just don't think any of their running backs are anything special.

Forte looks pretty good, and I think Wolfe can be an interesting addition to most teams. I don't see the love affair with the other Adrian Peterson though. I honestly think Pope could do everything he can do and probably do it better. PJ's biggest problem is that his perceived strength is his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and be versatile at the RB spot...unfortunately he doesn't have the raw speed to make those skills worth much at the NFL level. I think he'd actually get a better shot if he were really good at one specialized skill (say, blocking, or power running, or something) than he is as a pretty good multi-faceted back.
Still, as nothing more than camp fodder PJ is pulling in a pretty good paycheck and gets to live the dream for a little while each summer. I'd do it if given the opportunity. He'll make more in this summer training camp than what many people do all year.
1) AP is primarily there for Special teams
2) If you want to see some positives of AP as a RB, go watch the Denver game from this past season...was just on NFLN today, he was most impressive.
PJ running and blocking well tonight against the Browns. He's stuck behind too many guys in Chicago to have a chance, though. I hope he can get a shot with another team.

Caught 2 for 23 on the first two drives of the game, and I don't know that they went back to him. Was told by a neutral observer (BG wise, he's a Browns fan) that one of the grabs was pretty nice, in traffic.
